Hello all, I finally pulled the trigger and ordered the last manual that Mini will make. According to two dealers, today was the last day to order a 24 and from hear on out you won’t be able to get any mini in a manual .
I ordered an all white jcw with a stick. No other options because I always mod my cars so, I didn’t need the upgraded dynamic damper control as I will put coil overs on, I didn’t need the navigation because I have that on my phone, I didn’t care about heated seats or duel zone climate control or want a sunroof.
I do think it’s stupid that you can’t upgrade specific things that you want like Harman Cardon stereo or heads up display without adding a whole package of stuff you don’t want.
so instead of them making 850.00 on the Hardman cardon stero upgrade they lost 850.00 because they try to make you but one of the other packages for 4400 or 7400.00
on the plus side, I’m looking forward to making this one a reflection of my personality with lots of mods😎😎😎🤪🤪🤪
any suggestions on mods to stay away from would be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to starting my build thread

Congradulations!! Sad that there's no more manuals.
Dual zone climate in a car where you bump elbows with the passangers? My JCW is pretty basic too, that's what I likes about it, no added sunroof weight or DDC, I don't listen to music while driving either, would have liked the puddle lights tho. Not cetian what mods to avoid but wheels are a bit finiky given the big brakes.
Keep us posted.
My 2024 JCW has every option available, so I guess I'm not a kindred spirit. lol....
It's also an F57 so there you go.
IMO the heated seats are the greatest thing since deep-fried ice cream. Less fattening, too. Same for the heated steering wheel, but then I drive with the top down when it's 40ºf,
The dynamic damping is amazing. HK street comfort coilovers would probably be good too, but I have no need / desire to go that route, even though I could afford to. A lot of knowledgeable folks have told me that coilovers would not actually be an upgrade, for street use. I have no idea.
Don't lose sleep over the HK audio system. It's awful. I mean REALLY underwhelming. Sounds like a swarm of mosquitos mating on a humid summer evening. And the subwoofer sounds like a castrated bullfrog.
------------------------
The only mod I've done so far is to add a Dinan intake tube, so as to get rid of the input resonator. I love it. It adds just a touch of high frequency back when you rev it, but not enough to annoy the neighbors or distract a cop from his coffee & donuts.
I'm considering the Eventuri cold air intake, but I dunno since the car already HAS a cold air intake. That's a lotta' money just to get a functional hood scoop.
A stage 1 tune will happen once the car is out of warrantee.
Gotta' keep the stock exhaust system, though, as it's illegal here in NY State to change it for something louder.
I also plan on getting Advan TC-4 wheels, as soon as I settle on what width I want. (Issues of scrub radius and all that....) They'll save about 7 lbs per corner over the JCW 17's, which is actually significant. (Oh, and of course I had the dealer install Michelin PS4 AS instead of the stock runcraps.)

I race (Autocross) with my 2019 Manual Mini JCW...only 30,400 miles on my Mini...I am still building up my Mini, Making it Lighter and Faster for National AutoCross 2024 and Pro Solo.
Going to finally add Slicks for SMF Class...WITH a Manual Shifter!!!
I too ordered a 24 JCW with every option and would agree with Cableaddict the heated seats and steering wheel are my best options. Not impressed with the HK system myself. Doesn't live up to the hype I was reading about.
i just received my JCW 2024. It was Iconic. Had sunroof removed.
Black beltline from factory added. Also MINI lounge leather interior. Island blue and solid chili red top. JCW stripes. I had the fugly orange side markers blacked out day 1. Heated steering wheel. hm. and the HK and all that just comes with it. I love it!!!

Ugh! I wish I went JCW instead of an "S." I got a F57 S because I didn't love the auto transmission when I had the X2 M35i. But, it looks like the transmission tuning is markedly improved in the 228hp cars vs the 301hp ones. Anyway, on options, I got everything -- if only to get rid of the chrome trim -- which I then later realized didn't cover the beltline...how stupid is that?! P.s. I'm in NJ!

I agree about the chrome beltline looking a bit odd with everything else blacked out. I sort of like it, but it will likely look better black. Sadly, the Mini beltline blackout kit is only available for the hatchback!.
how stupid is THAT?
I don't want to use blackout vinyl, so I'm going to have my body shop paint the original pieces. This will actually cost less than the factory kit, anyway.
As for the auto tranny, I'm hoping that we can buy next year's dual clutch auto and have it retrofitted. Time will tell ....
so long as they figure out how to make them, and can deny {offensive language removed by moderator} Europe from encroaching upon them actually making $$$, they will. I see an extension a bit of gasoline fueled cars not looking fugly.
I can tell that the salesmen at the dealership look sort of blank now, knowing that the new style sucks and their brand is going to make them go broke.

I did the same when I was working at Mini.
optioned it out with everything.
sport alcantara seats with the heater warm up in an instant and are still lighter than the carbon M seats from the M3.
I don’t think dampening was an add on when I built the car so that’s in there.
only thing I didn’t upgrade were the 17” wheels. Boston is brutal and not dealing with bubbles.
i still plan on deleting the rear seats, coolerworx shifter. Cobra full exhaust. Cts intake. Coils. And have new enkei race wheels on order.
I wish I had the manual but the window when i ordered only the auto was available back in '19. But, i will say it is nice to have when autocrossing or on track days which is .1% of the time I use it. Daily driving, i wish I had the manual.
With Mini not offering manuals and the way the brand is going. This is my last Mini or probably new car I will purchase.
Yea after seeing the complete drop of the ball on the F66 Cooper S (yes that was the S version ) and the nissan lead interior and taillights, I know I will never buy a new Mini again. I don’t think there are any new cars I would buy and since my JCW checks all the driving boxes, my next dream is going to be 1993 Toyota Hilux Surf Diesel. Bomb proof unlike the 4cyl computers companies release now.
hopefully Porsche and BMW can get us away from electric but I don’t think I will have a car newer than this one ever in the future.
OP: I suggest getting the NM Power Module. With that, you do not need to spend the extra cash on other power mods really. The stock exhaust is terrible. If you can source a JCW exhaust and a dealer who has no issue coding it or whatever they need to do. Or a Remus exhaust would be nice.
2024F56LCI2: I have the '20 F56 JCW (fwd), '00 MX-5 (rwd) and a '11 BMW E91 Touring (awd) so well covered and each has a role in our lives For me, to get a different fun car, it would have to be a 1:1 swap. I would swap the E91 with one with a manual. Yea, that's a unicorn... MX-5 for a 2011 Lotus Elise R, and the JCW for a manual JCW..

The NM or the Dinan Sport. Both seem pretty good for street use, and can be quickly removed for inspections.
Careful with the exhaust, though. He's in NJ, where it's illegale to install a cutoff system, even if you don't use it on the street. You CAN install a "louder" muffler system, but only up to 95 dB. (Though they don't say at what difference, which is absurd. Probably at 1 meter, but that's a guess.)
Here in NY state, you can't upgrade the exhaust at all. - And the fine is huge.
(It makes me wonder what the stock exhaust system is on the GP3. I've read that it has a slightly wider pipe and muffler than the JCW, but can't confirm that. Anyway, on my "street tuned" JCW that would be a very expensive upgrade to gain just a few HP, and might / might not get flagged at inspection. )
Anyway, the stock JCW exhaust is actually very good. As above, techs at Dinan and NM both told me that with a B48 running around 260-270 HP, any gains from a larger diameter system would be extremely small, and likely not even noticeable. Now if you're doing a stage 2 tune and tracking the car, well then different story. - But you will no longer be street legal in many states.
Sigh ......

@RIPPER Congratulations on your purchase. I will definitely be looking out for updates on your future mods. I have the exact same one, but with the Signature Trim. I didn't get to order mine custom. I had to take the last one on the lot. Picked it up last week. It's exactly how I would have ordered it though. Big brother must have been reading my thoughts and intentions.
Congratulations on your purchases,
couple of months ago I just got mine as well, and although I was targeting for the manual, after I was informed that if I am planning for significant power modes, (which I do ) then better to get the auto with the 8 gears.
They actually brought me as an example the ultimate Mini Cooper GP where it comes with the 8 speed automatic torque converter gearbox just for this reason. (The extra torque handling abilities vs the manual).
I am not aware of how truth or not is this (from BMW/Mini dealer) statement, but whatever the technical truth is, this car is amazing...
Well it turned out that two weeks before it came in I lost my right leg above the knee in a motorcycle accident and had to let the 2024 JCW go. I sold two of my other minis as they were both stick as well and I bought this GP3. 0773 of 3000.
