Just drove home from the dealer and all I can say is 'wow....what a car'. I don't ever see myself going back to a non JCW anytime soon. Will be giving a detailed review shortly.
According to my spec sheet (see below) it has the JCW Sport suspension. It is an extremely comfortable ride and it handles potholes and uneven road surfaces beautifully. My old 2019 S convertible felt like an old stiff Walmart shopping cart compared to this new JCW.
Congrad's Sweet ride!! That dealer sticker on the paint . I think the DDC suspension has a switch near the shift lever, not certain as my car doesn't have it.
The Chesterfield Leather 'Malt brown' interior with the white piping is beautiful and with the added lumbar support it feels extremely comfortable. Also, the Nappa leather - heated steering wheel is butter soft and it gets nice and toasty on a cold day. I can even feel it through my gloves. Makes winter driving that much better.
There's no driver's adjustment of the DDC in the '22 and "23 JCW models. The shocks self adjust to road imperfections.
Does that mean JCW "Sport Suspension" is also the same as DDC on the S? The person that does the ordering for the dealership says the JCW doesn't have DDC like the S option. And, I heard people telling me that DDC is standard on a '22 and '23 JCW. *shrugs shoulders*
The upgraded DDC is standard on the "Iconic and Signature" '22 and "23 JCW Hardtops. You have to special order the suspension to not have it on those models. I have no idea about the "S" models.

Reason: correction
I ended up picking a new JCW hardtop this past weekend with the same Sport Suspension and 18" wheels as OP. I had the same concerns about the ride quality as OP as we are using this as a road trip vehicle for our bi-annual trips from Vegas to Vancouver, BC. IMO, it does not feel "bouncy" or "stiff" as I have been reading. It is firm, but not overly unbearable. My other car is a C63 on 19s and a Macan GTS on 21s and I would rate the ride as somewhere in between. I am guessing if I go from the runflats to regular tires sized 215/40/18, I would improve the ride a little.
Remove the run-flats, the ride improves immediately.
This doesn't stand true for a new Mini JCW with new run-flats. Run Flat technology has evolved tremendously over the last 20 years with newer compounds and manufacturing processes. They are no longer the hard hockey pucks of yore. Today they perform and feel like a non-run flat tire with no compromises.
On my new 2023 JCW with 18 inch rims and Sport Suspension, the ride quality is better than any Mini I have ever driven with non run flat tires. It offers a very smooth ride and handles potholes and imperfect roads with ease. Gone is the harsh suspension that will knock your fillings out.

First, Beautiful RIDE!!!. I have a 2024 Rebel Green hardtop about to go into production and can't wait.
For what it's worth... In the US, the Dynamic Damper Control is a free option on 2024 JCW. The default is the sports suspension and the dealer has to change it when the order is accepted in the dealer side of the configurator. They are the same dampers that are a $500 option on the Cooper S.
