Exhaust Question for F56 JCW Owners

One of the things I absolutely loved about my JCW was the Pop And Burble stock exhaust. Do the F56 JCWs have it also?

TIA!

Depends on the model year, but I don't remember exactly which ones. Our 2019 JCW Clubman definitely does.

Very good. Going to be difficult to turn down a Pop and Burble JCW when I shop for my next MINI!

Thanks for the response!

My 2019 ('18 LCI) pops in Sport, but not Normal mode. Maybe I get an occasional burble, but it's much more subdued & infrequent than Sport. I did not spring for JCW Pro exhaust and found the stock exhaust was too quiet for me. I had a Magnaflow-like can installed just after break-in and am very happy now.

Thanks.

The exhaust on my 13 JCW was very quiet until about 3,000 miles and not in full pop and burble mode until around 5k. Then it was a head turner!

Been doing some looking around at gently used 2018 and 2019 JCWs and there are some beauties out there! May end up getting one delivered from somewhere without avyest drive. May need the dealership to do an audio recording for me.

Oh yeah, I don't think ours pops in normal mode either. Sport mode it pops some, and with the shifter moved over into M/S it pops a ton. Though nowhere near as much as the JCW Pro Exhaust videos that I've seen.

Yes, was reading in another thread that the 2020s and new JCWs no longer have the pop and burble so I have my eyes out for a very nice 18 or 19. And I no longer get drive sticks due to knee issues so the automatic tranny which gives more sound will be great. Can't wait to hear those lovely sounds again!

I went from a manual '06 R53 to the '19 JCW with sport-manual and really enjoy the flexibility. In commuter-jam traffic it's a docile as a Camry but when you feel frisky, M/S with the paddle shifters is fantastic. The car shifts faster than I could with the Cravenspeed short shift kit on my R53, so I didn't miss the stick or third pedal even on the Dragon. I too heard that newer JCWs have no burble & pop, which is sad

@chrunck good point: I get the most burble & pop in Sport with M/S engaged. But then, I don't think I've ever used Sport and NOT been in M/S.

Good info, thanks! My 13 JCW had the auto tranny with the sport shifter and i used it often so this will be an easy transition for me. But that R56 JCW sure popped and burbled even when leaving it in the automatic drive mode. Turned a lot of heads, not always in admiration. Ha.

Talked to a dealership in Kansas today who has a beautiful midnight black with red roof JCW. May need to find someone on here who can go give it an in-person checkout for me. Here it is:

You should take a look at my JCW at Audi of Beverly Hills. They just listed it, fully loaded plus some. Its a 19', added a digital dash, updated the infotainment software, Forge pipes all around, JCW Pro exhaust, KW coilovers. Check it out. Tons of pops and burbles in Sport mode.

Electric Blue JCW

oh yeah, I have seen it and it is definitely my favorite JCW listed in the country! But when I move back from Mexico I am living on the east coast. The shipping cost would be thru the roof.
