Good luck. Mine has been off and on since day one. Diana replaced the unit and the situation continues. The good thing is that even when the CEL is on, there is no impact on the car ... it runs fine and makes great power. After a few starts it will go off; however, it always comes back. I love the power and smoothness, but the CEL is i
I contacted Dinan on Monday and they overnighted a complete new kit. I plan to install it this week and hope the CELs are history. I really like the power delivery with the Elite, so smooth and plenty of grunt. Fingers crossed.

Kudos here for Dinan's customer service ... I think they had a few issues after their move, but they seem to really have their act together now.

Hope they sent you a new build version from 2020, not from 2019. Good Luck!!! Hope it works!

They said it is the latest version, which has been updated since my existing unit. We'll see. Fortunately, it's a pretty easy install.

They overnighted the unit to me. It was produced in Oct 2020 and works perfectly so far. Great power, smoothness and ... no ELs.

I purchased a low mileage 2017 F56S in 2020. I installed a Dinan Elite and things were going great until four weeks ago. I started getting drivetrain malfunctions with the codes P10F2 and P12A9. I spoke with Dinan yesterday and I'm going to put the bypass in to see if it is the module or the harness. Fingers crossed this can be fixed. I love the power with the Dinan and it has been a blast. I'll keep you all posted.

I don't have a JCW, but I just installed my THIRD Dinantronics Elite unit on my 2020 F60 Countryman S ALL4.... Nothing but headaches and check engine lights.... followed the install procedure to a tee, Dinan sent me two different units... same result.

Codes:

U0603 - lost communication with fuel pressor sensor A

P0192 - Fuel rail pressure sensor circuit low - bank 1

P0607 - Control Module performance

With the second unit I managed to get one less code (no P0192) - but still had the others. Also had no CEL with bypass plug in for second unit, but still did on the first (bad harness?). If anyone can help me understand why I would greatly appreciate it!

I can clear them, but they always come back after an on/off cycle. And its definitely not adding any power while it's installed with the CEL on.

Dinan has given up, and said they don't know why my car is having issues and has offered my a refund....

Take the refund! I had my ECU reprogrammed on my 2014 JCW Coupe, and the guy who did it said the majority of his customers had already bought one of those "clip on" boxes.

It's a lease.... so a lot of the appeal was the reversibility and ease of uninstallation...

Dinan is shipping me a new module and harness. I will install and update to see if it fixes the codes being thrown. One try and it is coming out. For the price of the Dinan and the claims they make about seamless integration it should work without needing to clear codes after a few start and stops.
