JCW GarageInterested in John Cooper Works (JCW) parts for your 1st Generation MINI? This is where JCW upgrades and accessories for the Cooper (R50), Cabrio (R52), and Cooper S (R53) MINIs are discussed.
2004 slicktop mcs with jcw kit s1260. This was a "Barn find". Bought last april from the original owners daughter. He purchased new in November of 03 and had the kit installed before delivery. Unfortunately he fell ill about 8 months later and was no longer able to drive. The car was parked in 05 and sat till we purchased. Doing a painfully slow "restoration" due to covid and work. But hope to be done by July
10 minutes off the trailer Still has some of the wrapping Gutted and checking the wiring. 9733 miles Critters were living in it and done some light damage
Amazing, it will be a painstaking process to wipe away the years, but so worth it with those miles. Nice find. You have to let us know what cassette is in that deck...please.
New here
Got a factory JCW with 125k miles a month ago. So far it’s a pretty fun car, I’m coming from an S2000. Kit # is s16498....so it sounds like Mini sold a good number of kits.
Ive put in a 2% WMW crank pulley as well as changed the belt + tensioner, any other stuff I should look out for or do?

Congratulations, that’s a great looking car!
I didn’t realize the certificates were that small. Is that A5 sized? I always thought they were US letter or A4 sized.
Thanks! Yep, it's A5 size. I have had a lot of cars in my life and this is the most fun and calibrated to perfection car. My daily driver is a Tesla Model 3 performance, it's a 3 sec 0-60 car, this is really different, the JCW is (Analog, mechanical perfection). The Tesla is like a smart phone (digital perfection with no emotions).
Nice find! What does the competion edition include?

Mine's filled. Dated 2 days before the car was first registered in Germany in 2006. Could've been done by the previous owner of course, but I doubt it.
Hi Guys I was linked towards this topic by a friend, I am the organiser of JCW National Day here in the UK and yes we have some of europes best JCW first generation examples on display and some of those posted within this topic, along with the Legend that is Frank Stephenson the modern mini designer as well as many ex jcw staff like Chris Dawson Tony Franks & Kevin Fulbrook plus many ex challenge series race drivers, the event is now under a month away on September 5th so Im feeling exited, also spoke to Mike Cooper in person last month re this event when I met him at a Mini event at Beaulieu , have attached some of event flyers for you to save if you like.

Welcome to NAM Steve. You’re JCW is sweet. So lucky to be around the legends. Any future plans on organizing something similar in the states? We’d love to have you.
I am so happy to see many people trying to keep these special cars alive! I have owned many sports type cars and to date, this is my favorite! I never thought I would find one of the 2006 JCWs This is my favorite and daily driver (not hopped up) So much fun and very well built. It is an 06 MCS JCW Still Hoping to keep it as long as I live, then handing it down to my sister! I am 71 now! 06 MCS JCW The brace adds some structural aspect also. M7 with some improvements.
This makes a huge difference in drivability and dynamite with the 6 sp manual trans! so, so much fun! The street go-kart!
