I got my car back from the dealer last friday. They replaced remote, module, and reprogrammed software. It has been working perfectly. It seems that there is more pop and bangs.

Remind me never to get one. I got way more pops and bangs out of mine when I had the tune put on it. The dude never even told me it would do that either. When I let off gas at higher RPMs.

Just got my Tuning kit last week and love it. Also got the NM module to add this weekend. My question is has anyone come up with a creative way to mount the remote or put it somewhere other than the cup holder? I would really like to mount it somewhere behind a panel and cut out a hole maybe to push it.

I don't have an image of my mount, but I used a 4" styrofoam noodle and cut it down to slide snuggly into the cutout in the driver door for storage. There is a hole in the center of the noodle that the remote fits perfectly. It is out of sight and easy to reach. I happened to have one and thought I would try it and it works great and is basically invisible to anyone but the driver. It was an excellent and free installation and I found a good use for an otherwise useless noodle. I slid it to the front of the compartment after using a sharp knife to cut it to size. It's been there for over 3 years now with no issues. I just changed out the OEM battery in the FOB this week and I drive in sport mode with the exhaust open about 85% of the time.

I have one in black, too. The designer in Greece printed one for me, and sent it to me in Texas. I love it. It fits perfectly, and looks extremely professional. He can be reached at goulasc@gmail.com

Thank you guys for the info, that piece looks pretty cool. Does it affect the cup holders much?

It’ll still hold a large drink cup or 20oz bottle.

any update on what firmware update will cure this and I assume if I have the dealer update the system I will loose my custom coding I have done on the car and will need to have that redone? I have an Apple Watch and don't wear it much while driving the MINI due to this issue.

Just an update, MINI just dropped the price on 3 kits. So now its a better price on our site. 2 will be in stock and the one for the JCW Version only will be coming from Germany end of the month.

Folks, is reprogramming of the Dinan Elite Module required for the JCW Pro Exhaust? Are there any instruction/installation manuals/videos on the net? I'm not having luck finding any

Two dealer's near me say re-coding is required, they say 5 hr's labor between $750-$900. Do you folks notice low RPM touqre loss when flap is open?

Disconnect module in boot and keep flap open. Put bluetooth controller in glovebox. I have a 3D printed holder. Works great.
