Hi chrisoakes,
Very nice clean looking 05 MCS JCW
Does it have the dealer added limitted slip diff?
You can find out with a Vin check possibly
Just punch in the last seven of your vin.

Are they these? https://orranje.co.uk/product/orciar...ts-r50-r52-r53

Wonder how much extra airflow that pics to force into the airbox?

I am no aerodynamic engineer. I have read that at high speed the cowls suck - literally.

Before I got crucified for saying it, I think compared to the air pressure in the cockpit the pressure there is higher. It is just a lowest pressure area of the air passing thru the bonnet , over the windscreen and up over the roof. Otherwise the fan and air conditioning fan would not work at Mach speed of our Minis.

I almost feel that the vents should be facing the windscreen. There may be more air pressure on that side!

Hey..lots of work done
Car came very well-equipped with factory LSD and full JCW suspension and brakes

I’ve just installed a single mass Valeo clutch kit, rebuild power steering, PowerFlex bushings, Ignition, updated airbox filter, Cabrio Strut brace, Madness lower brace, 22 mm rear sway

I’ve done a ton of service for including supercharger, etc

No steering issues… Did replace the rack bushings and new power steering lines as well as serviced the power steering pump… I’m fortunate to have a well-equipped home garage with the hoist and all the goodiesDrive the car only in summer months And spend the winter doing projects… This winter I’m installing braided steel brake lines and servicing brakes..As well as some chilli red mirror caps

awesome!! looks really good. What about the engine sway since its a transversally mounted engine. I find at low speeds letting off the throttle i feel it. I know it as a dog bone but is has a different name on minis. I heard the factory one wears out. Have you put in a more solid engine brace?

I’ve swapped out all mounts ( including lower engine “dog-bone) with PowerFlex Polyurethane bushings… It really tighten things up..no sway
