2007 r52 JCW Manual Transmission.. what fluids?

Car in question: 2007 R52 JCW Factory, 49K miles, manual tranny.

I dont know the history on the car so I just want to start over/clean with fluids and do the inspection II (all filters and belt) as well.

For transmission fluid, which one should we be using? I've been researching here and other places and am seeing conflicting information.. I think I have the GS6-85 BG/DG GETRAG 6-SPEED W/LSD ?! Did all factory JCW get the LSD (My vin decode site info says "S2TAA SPERRDIFERENTIAL Differential lock 25%")? The car is new to me, so I'm still learning everything! Sooo.. Redline MTL? BMW?

Also, which differential fluid?

I'm planning on the synthetic Mini branded engine oil.

Bonus points awarded for model #'s and torque values!

Yes Redline MTL X 2 quarts. (trans and diff are the same, as a married unit)
Most JCW came with LSD, but it is a seperate line item, when ordering, so I am guessing it could be deleted, not sure though. The important thing is your Mini has it!

Mini recommends Castrol full synthetic I use 10/30 in all of mine (higher mileage) and I put it in all the Minis I pass on to new owners.

Congrats on your 07 MCS JCW Vert!
Some pics are always nice, as we like to see our friends cars!

Yes congrats. Its has the LSD option. Check out http://bimmer.work/, last 7 digits of your VIN to decode the whole thing. If you want to know if the car had additional dealer installed options. Find the original MINI dealership it was sold to on the window sticker or by calling a local dealer, once you have that, the local dealer can pull the sell sheet. Sometimes back in the MINI early days dealerships added stuff on before delivery.

Redline MTL is what i used.

Is that correct?! I'm nervous because no minis are listed in the compatibility there, and when I called ECS they didnt seem to know about the fluid.

Yes, you will need almost two quarts.
It is compatible with Limited slip diff.

Yep, here is the 2007 R52 Cooper S/JCW

https://www.ecstuning.com/Mini-2007-..._Transmission/

What you do is look on the underside of the transmission, you see what fluid the trans calls for, should be a sticker that green or orange. On it, it will state use MTF-LT 3 only or something like that. Then you go to our site and match up. You will need almost 2 quarts.

The sticker is on the very bottom of the transmission.
