So....did anyone who did this themselves or have a shop do it have any problems with the front mounts? Not the length but the way they mount. Would love to know if they updated the hardware that did not work on my car.

Either way trimming was involved and I'm not near my car or instruction for better explanation tonight.
Well MoJo, I think I found our problem. They sent you and me the hardware package for the JCW. I looked at the english instructions I printed out and it clearly shows the cylindrical spacer (Part I) is for the JCW and the angled part (part J) is for the S. I just talked with their office in CA again and finally got them to understand what I was talking about. They're checking for the correct hardware now and I'm supposed to hear something later today. For a $400 part I expect to have the correct hardware and not have to modify parts to make it fit.

EDIT: The gentleman at ACS called me a few minutes ago and he is overnighting the correct parts to me. I'm planning on early Thursday morning install before it gets too hot in my buddy's garage. The lift will make it go much faster.

EDIT #2: Just got notification from Fedex that my package will be delivered before 10AM tomorrow. That's fast!

Nice to see you're able to have it installed soon. It's overall a nice and sturdy product. Please take picture of the hardware so I can maybe get the right ones sent to me as well.

Check page 16 in the installation guide.

Wow! What do you have, about a half inch ground clearance?

Looks great! Just watch out for curbs! Shame you have to run a front plate....I would probably move to another State if I had that! lol! At least the plate says something cool!;-)

Vetsvette, the pic was actually from driving off the driveway, it's a bit slanted. Neighbor stopped me cause they have my mail by accident. Looked and the car and freaked out a bit cause I thought I scraped it, took a picture to show wife. She went straight on a dip leaving a gas station last night and the sounds it made we scary. Didn't feel or see any damage so the quality is good and the hardware did its job. Also tested in some "spirited" driving on our way home from Vegas. Have to see how new tire/wheel setup fits before possible adjustments to the height. Originally wanted it lower, but this pic made me think otherwise. Probably just go 215 instead of 205 40 18 to fill in the wheel wells. I can't jeopardize function over looks.

Agree wholeheartedly with you there. That's one of the reasons I stuck with 17" vs 18". That, and the larger selection of tires available. I'm running 215/45X17 myself.

Now, on the the ACS parts. The package came in this morning, 18 hours after talking with the gentleman at ACS. Not bad for CA to VA shipping.
The first picture is of the two packages. The one on the left is the one that came in today and the one on the right last week.

This picture shows the difference in the parts. Radical difference in the profile of the spacers. Left side is JCW, right side is for all other F55/56 Cooper and Cooper S. I would suggest anyone ordering the splitter make sure you have the correct hardware package before attempting install.

Can you please post a picture of the (2) front anchors? They did not work on my car and I ended up using bolts and nuts to make it secure.

You do have to make sure the Molly is expanded before hanging anything on it. The video below starting at 1:25 shows a good example of how they work. The main difference between that and the ACS part being that you have to use the supplied wrench/holder to hold the Molly stationary until it expands.

If yours had expanded you would have to access the inside to cut the expanded "Petals" before removing it to use bolts and nuts. Otherwise you would have a half inch hole or larger if you just pulled the Molly out.

Yes because there are 2 layers of plastic the anchor did not fold back properly. Like trying to use the anchors you showed through 1" drywall. Either way I don't consider that method very secure on the JCW. There could potentially enormous pressure on those 2 mounts...
For that reason I don't normally hang shelves off drywall anchors...I like to mount into a stud. Mine is bolted through and will never pop off!

The anchors are in a different location on the S, so hopefully it'll be a single layer of plastic.

thanks for the pic and explanation Vetsvette. I'm very excited for you to get it installed. Will give my car a good clean and inspect if there's any damage from the little hiccup wife had at the gas station.

My Buddy helped me install it this morning. Everything went together just like the directions said. Would have been done in an hour, but the two outboard nylon nuts kept walking away. Took another hour of fiddling and reaching down inside the foglight access panels to get those last two #^&*$# screws installed. The Molly bolts worked as advertised and the correct spacers made all the difference in the world.

I know... the pictures suck, but it was too darn hot to screw around any more. It had to have been 115º in the garage by the time we finished. I'll take better ones after the car's cleaned up and it cools off some.

Looks good MoJo. You do need some contrast though. If you don't want to go for the BBK yet you should check out the G2 Caliper Paint Kit. I used it on my R56 with excellent results. No spacers required!

Thanks for the info vetsvette. Definitely needs some color!!!! I want it to draw just enough attention, not so much I end up on milk crates. Lol.

I even seen some nice setup with silver bbk and even black Brembo ones! Looks like the most affordable would be JCW pro bbk from Ectuning. Sucks it doesn't qualify for the free shipping. That, and I'm out of monies. Lol. Slowly but surely.......

How are they holding up? Is this still the best option on the market? I'd love to see more pics. It's beats the $1600 3d design one but for $400 and weeks of having to go back and forth with ACS, is it worth it? Would you recommend it? How much ground clearance does it take away from the car? Thanks

Seems to be holding up. Have to remember to compensate for it when parking and going through dips, like the exits to some parking lots. I've bumped one of the concrete blocks you see in parking lots and have scraped the bottom once. No damage, and I'm happy with the way it looks.
