In another week or so I'll see if the non-JCW is any different. Ordered mine from ECS and they just changed the ship date from 6/3 to 6/6. I think they want to lay hands on it first so they can take pictures for the web site. It normally drop-ships from the distributor. I guess I ordered the first one from them. Shipping is considerably cheaper also.
II'm sure yours will be fine. On the non JCW the mount is further back so you are only going through one layer. I sent my notes and photos off to the manufacturer in Germany. Should here back early next week.
Ordered mine early this morning @vetsvette if you don't mind me asking, was it shipped from California? And when was yours shipped? I'm hoping mine was shipped today as ecstuning advertised it as "ordered today. Shipped today item"
Mine was shipped from CA on the 5th. Mine has been "shipping by the end of the week" since 6/2. Not all ECS fault since they're being drop shipped, but I wish there was a little better coordination between vendors so they could give more accurate information to the customers. I'm still not believing it until I can lay my hands on it.
I hope the wait is worth it! I always worry about damage, especially long parts like the splitter....keeping fingers crossed for you! ;-). Anxious to hear how you like it. I think the look is very good!
My guess is they finally got a bulk/drop ship at their warehouse. I was really hoping mine was also from Ca. Trying to get everything installed and fitted for The Vegas stop of Mtts!
Splitter install with JCW Pro Splitters.
This does not fit properly. The JCW Pro Splitter pushes the sides down causing the middle to bend up slightly.
I was not happy with the way this fitted my car. Looked too wide IMO....so it trimmed the sides.
Where I cut
Also the mounts at the front are not a quality product. The front bumper has two layers of plastic and the supplied system is frankly crappy. I will pull the vents later and bolt the front on properly. You don't want this thing ripping off at 120 MPH!
To make this fit properly you would have to fit a 3/8" piece of plastic at the back above the splitter running between the 2 JCW Pro splitters. Also the front of the AC schnitzer splitter needs to be lower so the packers provided need to be longer. I'll post how long when I remount this thing properly.
Looks bad....... A body shop would have fixed the problem without trimming.
I am sure you paid a lot for this. It also seems to me as a dirt grabber.
Dude. Not sure how a body shop would have fixed it. The wing is too wide period. I have this mounted properly now. With solid bolts.
I sent detailed pictures and a description of the mounting bolt problem to AC Schnitzer. I have next heard back from them.
I also thought that this would be a dirt trap but it's not that bad at all.
As I said on my original post this poorly manufactured by a crappy company.that does not make things right. It does however improve the looklook of the lip at the front of the car. That is ugly any way you look at it. Is it perfect? Certainly not....but still imho the best option on the market at the moment.

There are two different part numbers for the JCW and all the other models. Did you get the right one?
Can't remember the exact length and bolt size but it is easy to figure out once you have the splitter on the car. I ended up go with longer metric bolts and used a washer on top and cut the bolts to the correct length. Because I also added the "Pro Splitters" I needed longer bolts and I cut some black plastic tube to replace the provided bolt covers. The result is integrated looking.
You can see from the photos that there is no room between the top of the grey plastic piece and the vent that I had to push back out of the way. Note that as there are 2 layers to the bumper the original (plug) system does not work -maybe the German bumpers are thinner?- I ended up cutting a square piece out of the top piece thereby allowing the washer and bolt to sit on top of the bumper painted plastic. this meant that the bolt a wash would sit under the (pushed out of the way) vent when it was returned to the correct position.
The difference in the part numbers is simply because the bag of bolts and mounting hardware is slightly different. You will see when you look at the instructions that the "wings" are the same.
Good luck!
This is the result of trying to use the parts provided. These IMHO are not safe in any way.
$200 plus 40 for shipping continental US and we have ourselves a business! Lol. Pro splitters would of course be an additional 50. Nuts and bolts "extras" another 10 bucks. Who's willing to make it happen. You guys can send other member and I the parts to "try out" and maybe keep, if all goes well. Joking but not joking.
Well, my splitter came in today. Arrived in a damaged box so I pulled the splitter out and removed all the bubble wrap. Splitter is in perfect shape. And, I got an instruction book in German. That's not a problem because I downloaded the English instructions from their website. But, there's a small problem.... No hardware. Had to take pictures of the splitter and package and send to ECS. Then they'll contact ACS about sending a hardware package.
Carp. Ordered June 2nd................................

So it goes....I thought that crap only happened to me!

If the part didn't fit for any reason, you should have sent it back. After all, this is mostly a flat piece of plastic to install at the very bottom of the bumper and it should be easy.
Have you tried to spread out the bottom sides of your bumper for adjustment?

Fit is a relative statement. Does it mount on the car - yes.
Does the overhang of the F56 look like it fits with the car - no.
Did VW do a better job on the golf - yes.
The part that sticks out is the way they decided to fit it on the F56. I did not like this so trimmed it to what I thought looked better. Easy and a simple change and way less hassle than returning the splitter.
Spreading out the existing body of the f56 to make the splitter fit better is just not possible and would not be a good idea on any level.
As I stated this thing is a compromise and I am happy enough with the end result....but they are a crappy company as the fitting hardware does not work properly IMHO.

We will see if others have the same experience.
Gregory, Could the fitment issue be because of the JCW splitter? Anyway still doesn't excuse them from sending the crappy hardware.
Vetsvette, please post pics of yours once you have it installed. I'm very interested in getting one for my MCS as well. Thanks!
Sorry to hear about the missing hardware @vetsvette if anyone from ecstuning monitoring this thread, please please please make sure I get the hardware. Getting my mini lowered with Coilover and intercooler next week before my trip for the Vegas portion of Mtts. It would be ideal that it all gets done the same time. For me the splitter is a nice visual filling in the front bumper. It also serves as a nice reminder if I happen to nudge the lower lip on my driveway or parking lot bumps with a lowered car. You can always replace and fix the splitter. Bumper damage could be troublesome.

This is my feeling exactly. Yes it costs more than it should but it is cheap compared to other"bits".
My fitment width issues have nothing to do with the JCW splitters. They just designed these wide. The JCW splitters cause the Schnitzer splitter to sit lower hence the need for longer bolts to mount it.
