JCW Exhaust Cut Out Module Failure

Barely used -- 1100 miles -- JCW exhaust I ordered with my 2016 F56 Cooper S. I decided to do a Neuspeed exhaust because I want the exhaust to stay louder and not have to be opened and closed and the tips fit my aftermarket diffuser better.

And since I'm always about transparency, and I have posted about being frustrated with how the JCW Bluetooth exhaust valve sometimes closing during street driving. It's related to the Bluetooth signal going in and out sometimes. As a result, I'm selling this significantly discounted from the retail price of $2k.

$1350 SHIPPED in the continental US.
Bluetooth remote included with foam cupholder where you can place remote

It's a great price. Unfortunately, it comes without the tune and associated power increase, since your car has already been programmed.

Yeah I tried deleting this also because the wiring harness is still in my car too.

I am currently dealing with the random closing of the flap as well and it is looking like a problem with the rear exhaust module. Working to try to get mine replaced under warranty. I would recommend you get your exhaust fixed under warranty so the new owner can start off with a working unit since I don't believe the warranty on the exhaust is transferable to a different car.

Please keep us informed on this. My flap shut on its own a good 5 or 6 times yesterday.

I found that most happened when I was in traffic, around places that use automatic door openers, or other assorted things, so I started thinking it's being caused by interference with the signal. But, as I was typing this, I remember the first time it closed was in my parking garage as I was driving down a few floors.

I took it to the dealer a little over a week ago, and we drove for 15 minutes around some light traffic, and I couldn't get it to duplicate the issue.

Mine is only a couple of weeks old, and until yesterday, it would only randomly close a couple of times each time I went out, or not at all. Yesterday started to tick me off.

That's not bad advice. However, even if it is replaced under warranty, it still won't include the tune.

For some reason I can't get the thread deleted. I'm no longer selling it because the wiring harness is still intact in my car so it's too much trouble to go remove that and blah blah blah...

Thanks for the update. Did you put the JCW exhaust back on the car?
