JCW Intake for Countryman

Question for intake upgrade

I found the following part numbers on realoem, seems we are using the same intake box as R56 LCI and R60JCW.

As R56 JCW Tunekit has a different box, would that fit for R60? which i assume it might.
Would that give better performance or just JCW look ? should I look for NM or VIP intake for better performance?

intake

R56 LCI 13717607777
R60 C4S 13717607777
R60 JCW 13717607777
R56 JCW Tune Kit 11122208028

I'm interested in this as well. We just took delivery of our JCW R60 this past weekend. I'm looking for way to squeak even more HP out of it so I went to the first place I could think of: the intake.

I went into the garage and started poking around int he engine bay last night and I think I came across the same rediculous intake system everyone else is familiar with. It's still a drop in filter at the back of the engine bay. It does look identical to the configuration in the R56 though.

I'm looking for knowledge more than anything at this point. What are these NM and VIP intakes you speak of? I haven't run across anything yet that says "will fit R60" even though I know that this stuff will fit.

I, too, am curious if anyone has tried any of the above or the ALTA Performance one (http://www.altaperformance.com/count...-intake-system).

From what I have seen under the hood the JCW doesn't look much differe,nt than an S. I didn't think they changed turbo either, but you never know. I'd hate to buy it and find it doesn't fit.

Our JCW CM is only a few months old so I think I'll wait on a bit more feedback on this.

I'd look at the new Defenders of Speed intake for R60/R61 over the others if I were in the market. Both the NM and VIP are just sucking hot engine bay air in around the filter. The stock intake is actually pretty good with a simple filter upgrade but If you want a true CAI that gives a bit more growl go with the DOS. I'm also highly skeptical of these 10HP+ stats I read from vendors especially when they state that they're estimated.
