Nice build. That will be a sharp car.

Welcome to the JCW family.
Now the hard part. The wait.

Congratulations.

Your right. That will keep you plenty busy while your waiting. There's a lot of good knowledge on this forum.

You can't get black housings and adaptive Xenons. I know, I wanted them and even for 2012, it's still not an available combo. :(

Funny you say that....I got a call about an hour after submitting the order and they said the exact same thing you just said. They were going to put it through any way and see where it went. I told them if it can't be done then I told them to go with the black housing. The one thing I don't like about the adaptive xenons is the requirement to order the washers (which I personally don't like). We will see what happens, either way I am ok, don't understand it, but ok with whatever happens.

I don't think that's true either. I got the cold weather package and the adaptive lights and headlight washers wasn't listed as mandatory.

Yep, just looked, The washers are optional in any configuration I can create. It's listed as an option, even in the ZCW, where it's a no-cost option, but an option nonetheless.

Mini really needs to update the configurator because with the new packages and what-not, it's not even close to being right anymore.

Very odd. It was specifically told to me that if I gt the adaptive I would have to get the washers..?? I will give them a call tomorrow and double check with them.
Thanks.

No problem. I'm the same about the headlight washers. Worthless. If my sheets are wrong and I end up with washers that fuse being pulled will be my first "mod".

Make sure they're actually looking at the 2012 build sheets. If my copies didn't have miltary pricing on it I'd sent it to you. If I can figure out how to remove the pricing I'll post it for you. I can give you any of the option codes if you need them.

Congrats!

Does the Alarm now come with one of the packages? If not .... that would be my only suggestions from the info given.

Congrats!

Curious to find out about the black housings--I didn't even try to push it through because supposedly you couldn't even input them in with the adaptive xenons.

Thank you.
I will let you know the outcome. To me, it doesn't make any sense that you couldn't get black housing with adaptive xenons but we will see.

I agree with you. If you can indeed get both, I'll have to hoot and holler at my MA ASAP...

They are mutually exclusive. I tried to order that too. Maybe the covers can be swithed later after delkivery.

For a couple of reasons. First, IME they don't make any difference, even in snowstorms. Second, they get even more fluid in the car than the windshield washer does even when you only want the windshield cleaned.

How does the fluid get in the car? Do you mean it gets under the bonnet?

Ok now I'm with you.

I have not really had that experience. I usually only use the washers when there is inclement weather and it seems to do the job ok. I don't live in a high snow area so I really can't speak to the snow issue. Maybe they were not aimed or operating properly?

I use mine and have not really noticed the issue. Some does get on the car but it's impossible for it not to. I mean typically it's raining anyway so I don't see that it matters. At least in my circumstance.

You have the same color palate that I choose for my 2012 JCW Coupe! I think it is a great color combination I am waiting on the stripes for a bit later. Nice build!

I am looking forward to it. I am driving my V8 Touareg until the JCW comes in. I can't wait to get back to really driving a car.
