I have the 18 in wheels and don't see any options for winter tires. I need a decent set of 17 in wheels for winter tires. Any recommendations?

 

Michelin primacy alpin's are pretty good, but yeah, I think they only go up to 16". I hear Blizzacks are pretty sweet, which you can get on tirerack.com.

I have a set of 16" Blizzaks for my '09 Clubman S, mounted on steel wheels and they are great in the snow. If 16" wheels will clear your front brake calipers the extra tire sidewall really helps with the bad winter roads.

 

16" wheels will not fit over the front brake calipers on the JCW. I would prefer a 17" wheel as there are more choices for winter tires than the 18" wheel. Plus I don't want to use my nice wheels during the winter. Just looking for some decent 17" wheels that will fit the JCW.

 

Anyone - What are you using for winter wheels?

After going through a Michigan Winter with the stock runflats, the wife and I asked our Mini Club as well as Chad from Detroit Tuned, what they recomend for winter tires, hands down they said Bridgestone Blizzaks. So this year we will be getting a set for the MINI and the Mazda3.
