best bang for the buck horsepower

I was looking for a high mileage 05-06 MCS to build a RMW stroker but might be picking up an 06 JCW instead! The car is low mileage so its gonna get driven some miles and some stuff has got to break or blow up before motor gets swapped with a stroker.

In the meantime, what are the best bang for the buck mods to boost horsepower? I dont mind spending some bucks on the suspension, but don't want to buy parts that will not be needed once stroked.

best bang for the buck horsepower

I picked up 9 whp and 13 lbs tq with my RMW tune.
Not earth shattering but a good bang for my buck.

Hope this helps...

What about an 2 or 4% crank pulley? This is a mod that I have given some thought to. Add to tune on top of that, and I would be very interested to hear the numbers.

The parts are not expensive, but I have not priced out labor.
