Better Ride

Try the Hankook V12 tires ! Quite and sticky !

Get a slime kit; air pump, slime, nice container.

Now you are ready for the road ! ! !

I just got SDrives on my '06 R50. I like them so far, good grip, good in the wet, nice turn-in. They are a bit loud but if that doesn't bother you, I bet you'll like them.

depending on your driving style, the best mod for your JCW might be upgrading to a 17% pulley.

S Drives are supposed to be one of the more quiet tires out there. That said, the Hankook's were way ahead of the S Drives in a Car and Driver summer sport tire test comparison: http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...mparison_tests

I LOVE my Ventus V12's!

(215/40-18's on black 105 JCW's on an '06 JCW cabriolet.)

Of course, nothing's gonna help if you blow out the side wall. I did that to both my right side tires last summer. 3 hours for a truck to show up, truck blew a hydraulic line pulling my Mini up onto the truck (sprayed fluid all over the hot exhaust system and I had visions of the entire car going up in flames), and then a 2 hour drive back to civilization. And that's only part of the story.

(Tire iron in hole for effect.)

I got a story that beats yours...........just driving along the other day i ran on top of a 8 inch chisel bit used on compressed air gun, the thing somehow got inside my wheel well and having no room in there it perforated the tire AND the wheel, leaving a hole about the size of a quarter that looks like a bullet hole, needless to say i had to get a whole entire set of wheels and tires, so far very happy with my new Ventus V12s!

It's a smaller pulley than stock which basically spins the supercharger faster, giving you more boost. 15-17% reduction pulleys are the most common sizes and have proven to be reliable for daily drivers.
