I have scoured the interwebs for any images of a 2011 BRG II JCW with the Chili Red roof. Has anyone seen one of these in the flesh/metals or know of any images that exist? The future ownership of this car is the only thing that may help me get over the Connaught Green from the WC50, and it not being in my garage....

 

Like you, I have never seen a real picture of a red roof with a green body. Here's the actual add from Mini that shows one, but I am not sure that's what you're looking for:

 

I like the red mirrors, but I think the whole roof is a little over the top. It would be cool to have a green car and roof, with red mirrors you could swap just for the holidays.

 

I've yet to see any 2011 JCW with a red roof period. Desert MINI of Las Vegas still doesn't even have any MCSs with manual transmissions. I'm really dying to see a red roof on the new Eclipse gray. I've have seen eclipse gray and BRG II in the flesh. BRG II (to my eye) has a much deeper emerald green to it. Eclipse Gray is much darker than dark silver was.

It looks pretty sharp. I'm also glad to see some real in-the-flesh interior pics. I'm very glad to see that the steering wheel has the red stitching (also the shift boot). Pretty sharp.

 

I saw a black JCW with a red roof the other day... it looked incredible!

 

Local Porsche dealership ordered a GT3RS exactly as you describe on accident....Someone forgot to check some boxes on the build sheet

Car was Signal Green with Red mirrors, red wheels, red wing, and red accents on the front bumper......it was hideous. They called it the Santa Claus car. Needless to say, they switched everything out to black instead

Agreed, my dealer has a black/red JCW in right now....makes for a very sexy MINI!

 

I just purchased eclipse grey with a red roof and really love how the car stands out. Very happy with the color combination!!!

 

My Lil Guy JCW just arrived at my dealers yesterday. I'd love to show pictures, but I have no idea how to transfer them to this site. My motor adviser sent me four pictures from her iphone, and I am really glad that I ordered the Midnight Black with the Chili Red roof and mirrors. I figured that if I didn't like it, I could always repaint the roof and change the mirrors. So far in looking at the pictures, I won't be doing that. I, also ordered the blackened Challenge wheels.

I visited my buddy at the local MINI store yesterday, he's driving their demo black/red JCW and it definitely looks sharp. I got to see the Eclipse gray in person and like it too. I commended my friend on being brave too...he gets to configure the ones they order for stock and he had some pretty unusual color and option combos on the lot, most dealers play it safer.

 

Know what you mean about dealers and what they order for colors. I was at the West Chester, PA dealers last month. Lots of Chile Red, Pepper White,very few Midnight Black, couple of BRG ll, several Eclipse Gray and one Silver/White which is an interesting color.

By the way, did your buddies demo have the Chili Red dash and door ring? That REALLY wakes up the interior.

There was a black / red at our local dealership as well.

Wasnt really a fan, but it matched the red touches inside well.

 

When I go to pick him up on Saturday, I will take my Oympus with me and that will solve lots of problems. If nothing else, I can fill up my gallery.

It had the red color line (dash and armrests) but the piano black trim. I asked for the red trim and door ring myself. He says you can't have both.

 

He's right on that. The red that you are talking about with the door armrests and the dash soft part in red is Rooster Red. What you can get is the Carbon Black color line and then get the Chili Red dash and door ring like I did. The red on the dash is the inset that you have options to have different styles. I have the Rooster Red leather with the black cloth and that does match well with the Chili Red interior option. That's about all that I know about it.

 

Well well, the same dealer with impeccable taste that had ordered the Eclipse Grey red roof JCW, has a red roof BRG JCW as well.

If I lived in IL, I'd be there with my camera and checkbook today. The only thing is now Im torn between the two, and need navigation so the wait is on. I wonder what the sunlight does to the look, as BRGII seems to look better in the shadows, and gets a bit too glittery in the bright. If only Connaught green were an option, then my decision would be complete!

This is the same dealer, actually their sales manager, that called and tried to talk me into dropping the dealer that I was using and let them take over the car that I had ordered. Talk about underhandedness, and poor salesmanship in ethics, that was him. I think that they ordered the BRG ll with the Chili Red roof on my suggestion back when I talked to them in August. Anyway, who cars, I got my Midnight Black withe the Chili Red roof now.

 

I am looking at a 2011 JCW and am trying to decide between the Eclipse Grey or the Midnight Black with Red Roof.
