New JCW WC50 Owner

Just picked up my first Mini on Sat, hardwired V1 and detailed on Sun, windows tinted yesterday, and carbon vinyl the belt line this coming Sunday.

Ordered a carbon shorty antenna and a carbon license plate frame, waiting for it to come.

Next on the list is gauges. Do you guys have any recommendation? I would like to have a boost and a oil temp gauge, needs to be stock looking, with matching amber lights at night and no drilling of the vehicle.

Quick crappy iphone pic to share.

Wow, congrats on the WC50 - awesome!

For stock looking gauges with the proper OEM amber lighting, there is this link to Marshal Gauges:

http://www.marshallinstruments.com/c...per_gauges.cfm

Also, there is this thread with other gauge options:

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...gauges-25.html

Hope this helps!

I have been researching gauges and I agree that the Marshall MINI specific gauges look to be the closest to OEM in look.

Congrats on the new MINI WC50. Great looking MINI !

Also...

The mounting bracket flex pod (no drill I think) can be found at the link below from Craven. You can also buy the Marshal Gauges here:

http://www.cravenspeed.com/index.php...slug=bracket_a

Stock OEM JCW Gauges can been seen here:

Thanks for all the info. I have seen the JCW gauges and loved it, but the only problem is they don't have a boost gauge, i think they only have lateral force, torque and oil pressure.

The Craven/Marshal ones are the closest to stock I have seen so far too, but I am not really into the looks when it is off.

How about the Alta/Prosport or the Defi? Any pictures? I see some pictures of the Alta ones, but not many on the Defi.

Also, any recommendation on where to install these in LA/OC area?

definitely gonna take more pics on Sat before and after the belt line install. Had been too busy lately, the car had just been sitting in the garage most of the time so far.

I saw the WC50 at a local club meet this summer. This car is definitely my favorite "new" MINI. The BRG mixed with carbon fiber inlets really look sweet! Top choice

The WC50 is a gorgeous car. I sold #422 to a local customer here in LA.

I saw the owner of #422 posted on 6speedonline. I would love to have that number instead as it has special meaning for me. To bad it's gone before I decided to get one.

suspension?

Hey shadowwc50 (or anyone else),

what suspension does the WC50 come with?

I'm close to sealing the deal on one but I'll be really annoyed if it doesn't come with the Sport Suspension (I know the JCW Suspension is a dealer add-on). I'm already annoyed that it doesn't come with Navigation (like the European ones). Makes me think wonder what the 40K sticker price DOES include...

Thanks,

Herk

I believe standard suspension is the standard r56 coupe non sport suspension. Pretty amazing but true. Unless something changed... You can go to motoringfile.com to read more about this otherwise really cool mini.

Thanks for the quick response, Augie05. I just can't believe the sport suspension is not standard on the WC50 (or all JCWs). I talked to my MA and he's going to throw in the JCW strut brace for free

Cheers,
