JCW Aero Kit

Guys, I'm ordering a JCW Aero Kit from me local dealer and was told the Brake Duct was not included and have to get it separately. Is that true??

From my understanding, there's two type of JCW Body Kits, one is the old one, which doesn't come with the brake ducts and if you get this one, you will have to order the brake ducts separately. Then there's the new one which comes with the brake ducts as part of the kit. You can ask your dealer to check his parts listing more carefully!

These are the part numbers I was given:

1. Pre-painted (Dark Silver), no wheel archs: 51192154736

2. Primed, with archs: 51192149926

3. Primed, without arches: 51192154642

Is the brake duct really worth the extra money?

I ordered the JCW kit and got the brake ducts and the new lower spoiler. I went through Amanda @ SouthBay Mini and it came as ordered.

How much was your kit, I was quoted $1199 with no brake ducts.

I'll look at my paperwork when I get home, I should have the basic breakdown. I ordered a blk car, perf. leather seats, conv. package, zenons, HK radio, suede/leather stearing wheel, funky rear wing.

I think its all personal preference...

Will it increase performance for everyday driving?... highly doubt it.

I recently got my JCW aero kit. You can check it out on my gallery. Makes my mini look more solid.

Tons of pictures with the old factory aero kit and the new JCW aero kit here:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/onefish...7610864637624/

Brake duct kit is part of the new JCW aero kit. Also comes with new splitter. When I swapped to the JCW aero kit I specifically asked for the new version but it was on a national back order. So the v1 aero kit was ordered with the new brake duct kit and the old splitter. I complained about the old splitter, paid another $60 and had it installed.

I am very happy with the JCW aero kit.
