jcw 113 knock offs

http://cgi.ebay.ca/MINI-COOPER-SUMME...item27a7d4f488

I found these wheels for 600 dollars
But when I called they said they were not oem
The only difference I can find is the offset at 40

What is the oem offset

what will the diff be on the car with an offest of 40
Thanks

For imposters, they sure look real. I'm sure someone will chime in but I thought the stock offset is 38.

If the stock offset is 38 and those are 40, that would kick the wheels outward. I've got 18's on mine and wish I could have moved them in, not out. (I'm running 225's)

My factory R104s have an offset of 48. My OZ wheels have an offest of 37. The OZ wheels are kicked out by 11mm. The lower the number the furter out the wheel. With the OZs mounted, when I have passengers riding in the back I will, on occasion, get a bit of tire rub going over big bumps.

Thanks Scott, I said it backwards.... I always do that.

I did the same on my OZ's. I flared the sheetmetal a bit but it scrubs with a passenger in the back (on the pass. side) but it's only the fender liner, not the metal.

I actually took the fender liner out and trimmed about an inch of it. The fender liner is more for sound deadening than it is about keeping water out of the body. The inch I took out doesn't really make a diff but it doesn't allow the liner to get beat up.

Aztec,

Very impressive. I like the look, great deal, great price. Make sure you post some pics when you get the tires mounted.

Absolutely love it... the car looks great. Have you thought about painting your headlight trim rings and grill surrounds laser blue?

Your car looks GREAT!

The wheels look great. Do you know how much they weigh vs. the OEM J113's ?
What springs or coilovers are you running ? About how much drop ?

I'm looking to do about the same...I have OEM J113's.

Thanks

I've been looking at the same ones. When I contacted them they said they are made by a company called Radart. I cannot find ANYTHING about Radart to see the specs of the wheels.

found these on ebay

Do the stock wheels have those 4 small holes around the hub also?
I'm not usually a fan of extra holes in wheels, as it seems to me to be more option for weakness.

After i posted i checked all the OEM images and sites and saw that they all had the those 4 extra holes. Cant be bad if Mini designed them that way.
Ive been doing some photoshop work so that i can convince the wife that they are a good idea, after all it is her car.
