Supercharger belt

Are there any issues with using the regular Coop S belt on a JCW supercharger? Will there be a loss in power?

thx

Should not be a problem. The stock belt is 1388mm long and the JCW belt is 1374mm long. Many people use the stock belt on 15% pulleys (the JCW is only 12%). However, I ordered a JCW belt for my replacement just to be safe.

Thanks for the info. It feels like i've lost some power since the belt was changed....i thought the different size belt may have lessen the boost fr the blower. I don't believe you have to break in the belt and would feel a loss in power. Hope the belt isn't slipping...

You will feel the loss in power from a slipping belt at higher rpm's.

How many holes are visible in the belt tensioner ?

After the belt change has anyone heard of a new whistling sound? No performance lose but apart from the typical SC whine there's that new sound-noise... cause it's a bit annoying.
Any ideas where it can come from?

What brand/type belt did you install?
I have seen various reports that some belts are noisier than others. For example the Goodyear Gatorbacks are frequently reported as noisier on some vehicle applications.

Could be a tensioner or idler pulley going bad.
