Great news, I bought my car in October and we added it as part of the deal. I was bummed to find out it was going to be December until I got it. Hopefully it will get shipped quickly and I can still get it put on this month.

There's a post in the Clubman forums that suggests this may include the R55s... Can anyone confirm that?

Yup. Placed the order for mine last Friday. I was told that it make take about 2 weeks to receive the parts -- Something about having to take my Vin # and they add the specific ECU program onto a CD.

So anyone know how much labor time should be expected? I "heard" 2 hours. Is this right?

Oh, and I have a copy of the actual BMW/MINI service bulletin. It states, "This information is for the R56 only. The John Cooper Works tuning kit can still NOT be installed on MINI Cooper S (R52, R53 and R55)".

Syd goes in on 12/16 for his tune kit. I was told 2 hours to install, this is the time that any dealer should quote ya. Any longer, they are idiots.

Got my tuning kit installed today on my MCSa. WOW, what a difference. Car pulls much harder now. I put it down into 2nd as I was creeping along in traffic and saw an opening in the lane next to me and floored it. Holy Hanna, much more power than before. I also found that I could give it half throttle and it just walked away. Before, at half throttle it always downshifted first.

Definitely worth the money.

Picking up my car tomorrow morning with the newly installed JCW tuning kit!

Only bummer was that somehow the JCW front and rear badging was apparently *missing* from the shipment.... Hmmmmm.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to feeling the difference. Nice to know that my dealership was honest with the install time of 2 hours.

Cheers,

yeah Im on my 2nd one as well-- my R53, while a hoot to drive, was a lemony-scented shop queen this R56 thing seems so much better across the board. I get my tune kit a week fm t'row and I cant imagine how much more powerful this little car will be!
