JCW automatic kit: worth the money?

First off, it sounds great! I also had a JCW rear bar installed, so it turns in much better too. Get that done while the car is in the shop. Parts are only $125.00
She pulls strong to 6500 when it used to poop out at 5800. The shift points are more inline with the new power curve.. I think they did a fine job with this kit.
Was it worth the money? Hell yes!
I understand that the ECU needs to adjust. If it will make more power down the pike, than that will be the cherry on top.

Is mine the first 08? Anyone else had a 08 done yet?

when my 09 arrives at the dealer in late Oct I will be getting one. when U say rear bar do U mean a JCW sway bar? What is the diameter??

I just got mine back today , and now have 90% of the kit installed somehow they lost the cd for the ecu , the pipes sound great cant wait til friday to get the ecu upgraded

Lost the CD!!!!! Did you check ebay...haha. Well, hang in there, we all waited a long time for this.

Yes on the JCW bar. I think it's a 18mm unit. I'm sure they did a lot of R&D to come up with the right combination. It takes the push out when you whip the wheel.

the stock r56 sway bar is 16.5 ... hmm... I wouldn't mind going JCW for the sway bar but I had an Mini-Madness 22mm in my other mini and it was fantastic, I figured the JCW bar at 18mm would do little or nothing ... ...

Which suspension do you have? Stock, sport, or JCW?

I have the stock suspension. The wheel arches could be a bit lower for my tastes but I don't want to make the ride any harsher. But I am going for a sway bar..

Oops sorry! I was referring to seebobgo. I was wondering which suspension he was using the JCW rear bar with.

I have a 2008 MCS (factory stock) with the jcw 18mm rear bar. Works great !

Did your stage one kit come with a door sticker and a engine plaque? Mine was omitted and the dealer said it wasn't included in the kit.
