Blacked out my JCW tips

when i get the car re painted (along with ALL chrome/arches/etc) im gonna remove the exhaust, sand it really good, and repaint it. i just hit it with some paint where you can see the mufflers under the bumper in the back.

the tips came out good IMO. flash makes them look kinda weird, but they look great in person.

i used Krylon BBQ paint, becuase i had it in the garage.

most likely when i get the car painted though, ill just have him powdercoat it all just for a permanent finish.

Nice .............

WOW !

Is there a water restriction ban in your area or just back from racing on the salt flats ?

I Like the MOD Really came out awesom, no runs ~ excellent work !

I still have the OEM coke can MINI tip set, was thinking about making them part of a black out project ?

BTW: The one time I used that stuff, (BBQ Grille paint ) when the grill heated up to 300+ degree it gave off some real nasty fumes. Wonder if the mufflers/tips will do the same thing ?

You do realize that your exhaust is cleaner than your car right?

Lol yes I do, I haven't washed it in a few weeks lol.

Its been raining EVERY day so I don't bother.

After looking at it though, I'm for sure going to get the tips powder coated semi gloss or maybe even gloss black. For now they look good though.

Exhaust looks great! The car looks crusty though.
