US spec cars (ie with MAF sensor) and JCW dealer fit kit cars (both EU and US spec):

Factory JCW turbo inlet tube - Part# 13717582453

EU spec cars (ie without MAF sensor):

Factory JCW turbo inlet tube - Part# 13717582453
Blank MAF shroud - Part# 13710429383

The main reason for this is that the 'Factory JCW' car now has a MAF sensor even on the EU spec models. I know as I looked under the bonnet of one this evening!

Hope this clears up any confusion!

thanks for the clarification Ben. one question. US spec cars without JCW, do we need any additional part? ie, the blank MAF Shroud?

No, the blank shroud is only for the EU spec minis as those did not come with a MAF until.. recently i believe.

Well I picked up the parts today and have them all fitted. Just to get you up to date i have had fitted so far the Alta CAI and Forge resonator delete hose.
Well straight away i can notice a difference. the car seems to pull a lot smoother lower down, strange and hard to quantify exactly but it feels a little stronger down low. I shall be out tonight so hopefully be able to open her up a bit but so far as Japper says, its a sound purchase. was a bit of a squeeze with my Alta CAI but it all fits and I'm happy!

well for an update, the original dealership never called me back, no surprise there, mini of san francisco is just bad, don't know why I even bothered, well got off the phone with another dealership and apparently since there's no price yet in the system for the US parts catalog they can't even order it, so I guess all we can do right now is just wait

My cincinnati Mini dealership found the part, but as well, there was no price.

I've been on the phone with Menzies MINI in the UK, and am going to order the part internationally if I can.. (I'm in Ohio fyi).
I'll keep you updated.

We're they able to place an order for the part? One of the parts people I talked to said even if there was a price they weren't sure if they could actually order it yet.

Hey folks,

Based on our 09 JCW purchase that part is NOT compatible with non-09 JC cars. There are several pieces relocated (PCV venting for one) as well as the shape and angle is different than the OEM tubes fitted to non-JCW cars.

I can take some photos if you guys want.

I also have some EU and world inlet pipes here provided from other clients, and they are ALSO different than the US models, but not compatible either.

FYI!

Does this mean the US JCW and the EU JCW motors are even more different now besides the MAF sensor like before?

Adam,

Are you sure?. This tube fitted mine and many other 07/08 MCS with Tuning kit, which is the same OEM pipe as US Spec MCS. The breather pipe ( PVC Venting ) comes complete ( attached ) to new inlet pipe.

Japper he might have a point. I know for a fact that the Alta turbo inlet tube does not fit EU spec cars because of some ancillary items in the engine bay fouling the tube. So much so that Lohen have taken it off sale!

That's the ALTA tube though and not the factory JCW inlet tube. The ALTA is bigger still and so may fowl

There are a few EU spec cars with the ALTA tube fitted too

The EU cars work fine with our inlet AND intake system together. But the ALTA inlet hose doesn't work with the OEM EU air-box.

In regards to the US models, Jeff and I will post up a few pics in the next week or so. Doing lots of double checking on what does and doesn't fit.

Thanks again folks!

That sounds right as the EU OEM airbox has a different connection to the pipe. However i believe there is no difference between EU JCW Stage 1 cars and US cars ( standard or JCW Stage 1 )

Hope that makes sense

When i stated in an earlier thread about EU cars with the ALTA inlet pipe fitted, i forgot to clarify that these are JCW stage 1 equipped cars

There's now three of us in the UK that have fitted this to our stage 1 cars and all have confirmed with myself that the difference is noticeable.

WHY we have no idea as there doesn't look to be any significant difference between stock and factory.

ADAM,

When are you shipping Boost tubes to Lohen...................i'm waiting
