Aero kit is not the same as the JCW. JCW doesn't have any exterior changes other than badging.

I should make myself more clear, my question is, let say I have a R53 Cooper S and I'm planning to install either a JCW bodykit or the factory Aerokit, what is the difference between the two.

There is no JCW specific Aero Kit, there is one kit for the S one kit for the Copper.

NO! the jcw cars come with the std S bumper. Unless you order the aero kit. The only JCW cars to come with the aero kit is the canadian competition package cars we got in lieu of the GP. Be warned tho, some of the dealers are now referring to the aero kit as the JCW aero kit. I think they are getting confused by the r56 kits tho. There is only one aero kit for the r53, and its not the aero kit. Of course all cars in the JCW cataloged have the aero kit on it, but again, its not a JCW part.

No, as others have pointed out, there is no "JCW bumper" -- or rather, the JCW bumper is the same as on my run-of-the-mill MCS. There is an aero kit for the R53, but that has nothing to do with whether the car is JCW or not.

In other words, whichever of you claimed the JCW car has the exact same outlook as the Aero kit is the one who owes the other a six-pack.

Your friend is probably thinking about the R56. The R56 has some ridicuously ugly aero kit and the new JCW Kit.
