After several months of thinking, I finally ordered my MCS today. This forum has been very helpful for me while deciding on what options to get. I decided to get the laser blue body color with white top and the JCW aero kit. The following picture posted by a fellow NAM member definitely helped me decide on the color combo and JCW kit. I think the JCW kit looks absolutely great with the laser blue body color. So if you are the owner of the following car and happen to read this thread, I would like to thank you!!!

Thanks guys. It's been only two days since I placed my order and I am already getting impatient! The dealer tells me getting the JCW body kit installed at the port will cause another 3-week delay, so we are looking at an early to mid-December delivery. This is going to be a long painful wait!

 

For what it's worth, I was production week 34 and had a JCW aero installed at the port in Charleston, and it only added about 1 week to delivery time. I've had my mini for 5 days (and totally love the JCW aero kit).

 

Uzun, Good choice and congratulations! I really like the JCW Aero Kit and tried to change my order from the Hyper Sport Aero Kit, but was too late. Hope you get yours soon, I am in the same situation waiting right now.

This is my first attempt to post a picture. The picture should be of the back end of a Laser Blue MCS with JCW aero kit.

Monkey Boy, do you have any pics of your car? I'm curious as I've never seen a CR aero kit with webspokes.

 

Great specs, I love the laser blue. My specs are a bit more bare than yours, but the one thing I regret is auto AC and the sunroof which I had in my old car. I didn't think I'd miss them, but I sure do.

 

Does the JCW aero kit come painted from the factory? Or is painting and installing it a separate fee from the one you pay for the kit while building your Mini on the website?

The JCW aero kit comes primed in black, except for the grills. It's painted and installed at the VDC or at the dealer or at the dealer's chosen shop or at your chosen shop.

 

So you are paying around $1400 for the kit and then whatever the dealer charges for paint and install on top of that? I thought these kit's would come painted from factory? Just confused...

 

I don't know if the kit comes painted from the factory, but the dealer quoted me $2550 total for having the JCW body kit installed at the VDC.

 

Please excuse my lack of knowledge, but what's VDC?

 

VDC = Vehicle Distribution Center
