Anyone have a BRG MINI w/JCW Aero Kit?

This is the combo I'm most considering getting and am wondering what it would look like. Anyone have any pictures? Black w/JCW Aero is also on the table, but I've seen Gabe's already and that's as far as I need look. Probably not going to add the JCW rear bumper though as I don't think it looks nearly as smart as the front and the sides.

Thanks folks,
Brad

Yes, I do. Just picked it up two weeks ago and don't have great photos yet. But here's what I have. I hope to get better shots this weekend.

Awesome! Would love to see higher resolution shots if possible, esp. variations on the front angle. I commend you on your good taste!

Any other BRG/JCW Aero drivers out there? I suspect we will be a small (but stylish) minority...

Thank you. There's a BRG thread here on NAM. Do a search and you'll find it. These are the only shots I have right now. I'll try for better pix over the weekend.

Awesome! I was curious myself; this is something I plan on doing in the next couple of years. We have the same color combo so I'm glad to know it wouldn't just look good; it'll look freakin sweet!

Edit: Realized I was hi-jacking the thread regarding diffuser, started another thread on that topic. Sorry!

I posted some higher-res pix in the gallery (I hope I did it right). I love BRG, but it isn't easy to photograph or, for that matter, to keep clean. It's pretty much like having a black car. Add the white wheels and we're talking a labor-intensive vehicle. But it's not an everyday driver right now so it works for me. My interior is stock leatherette. I decided to put my money into the aero kit and the Stage 1 engine kit which will be likely be added in a month or two after the dealer gets some install practice on someone else's car. You'll also note I traded out the chrome 'S' sidemarkers for the black MC ones and took the badging off the rear. It's just an inexplicable thing I have about badging.

Absolutely fantastic pictures. Yes, I can relate about it not being easy to photograph or keep clean. It will be a daily driver for me, so I guess I'll be seeing a lot of car washes. I'm planning on a BRG roof and mirrors as well, silver on the wheels, MCS w/JCW Engine Kit.

The front end looks so hot with the JCW Aero Kit! Love it.

Hey, just curious... it looks like the front driver's side wheel has a mudflap, but I don't see one on the passenger side... what is that? Any problems with bottoming her out?

Patience, please educate me. What exactly does the Aero Kit do for the car? Make an already fast MCS faster? The car is beautiful but how is the performance increased? I'm thinking this is mostly a "guy" thing. I wonder how many women have the Aero Kit.

I LOVE the way the JCW aero kit looks, and I'm a girl. I would have one on my MINI now, but the FJ needs some stuff done to it first ....yeah yeah....seriously though, I can't wait to get the aero kit! My dad has it on his Mellow Yellow MCS and it looks sweet!

What you're seeing is a flap that hangs down from underneath -- not really a mud flap I don't think -- not sure its function. The passenger side one fell off coming down a not-so-steep driveway. I need to get a part to reattach it.

Unless you are traveling at track speeds, the aero kit does no more for performance than a leather interior, a sunroof, or any of the other 1,001 options and accessories available for the Mini. It's about you-i-fying. To each his/her own. That's what makes the new Mini so great!

So....are looks the reason people get them installed? Do they enhance performance?

It makes it "look" faster. Is it only for looks? .....editing - didn't read gkp's post first. Thanks - I think I get it now.

At high speeds, a well-designed aero kit changes the way the air flows over, under, and around the car to keep it more stable. Most race-ready cars are fitted with some kind of aero kit. At everyday road speeds, it's more about aesthetics and gives what you might call a racier or more aggressive look.

Hence - the "guy" factor. I do like the way it looks. Hope I don't start liking it too much though. Adding things to this 2 month old MINI is going to land me in the poor house!.....but it will be fun getting there.
