Have just acquired a Cooper S bonnet. Ooops, thats hood to you
Has anyone tried to fit this to a "non S Mini" ???
Its new, and bare, I know I will need to buy the hood scoop, but will
everything else swop ?? Does anyone know if it can be done, or do I have
an expensive ornament !!

MCO user MINIKING did it to his Cooper, before selling it for a Cooper S. You could try PM'ing him.

Unless someone is going to install some kind of different engine in a MINI than the one it comes with and a scoop is absolutely needed, why would anyone want to have a regular Cooper masquerading as an S??! I don't get it. That's like buying the metal 'Turbo' insignia for a PT Cruiser or a VW Beetle and sticking it on a stock model. False advertising.

Each to their own !!! Besides, its my daughters car, and insurance
would be a nightmare for her on the "S"

Most US MINI owners I know have adapted to "proper" MINI terminology, so if you want to discuss bonnets, we're with ya dude!!! I'd have to agree with fms, of course.....why? Anyway, good luck on your project!!!!!...I guess I'd do just about anything for my daughters, too!

Sounds like she is the one with the "S" envy. Ultimately, noone should care what you do to your car. Your daughter obviously likes the way that the "S" looks better. The sad day will be, though, when you have spent the difference between the Cooper and the "S" in "upgrades" to her Cooper.
