How much would a new dash in silver be from the dealer? I have a 2002 so it would be the 5 piece model. Also does anyone know if I could retro fit a new dash into it? Like the dash in my 2004 the 3 piece?

basically. Ive called all around and my local dealers dont carry the dash for an 2002. They can order it, but they told me they wont! Will the 2004-up dash fit?

 

I know a good guy that can help you with a new stock dash... It's not going to be cheap, but he can get you into one.

I dont think the 04+ dash wont fit because of the airbag location... I'm not 100% sure.

The 04 dash will not fit to my knowledge. They switched to the 3 piece after relocating the airbag, so if you put the 3 piece dash in a car that originally has the 5 piece, the passanger sire airbag will not deploy correctly if at all. How much is the dealer telling you its going to cost? I get all my parts through Morristown MINI out of NJ, they are a sponsor here and have great prices, and will beat anybody elses price on the parts you need. I don't think my dash will be out soon enough for you to get mine like i said I might be able to do before.

YES! more than fair.. just make sure it's the right year.

 

I think $200 may be on the high side for a used dash. Last year I contacted Classic MINI about prices for a new body colored dash. They quoted me around $200 with NAM discount for a 3 piece dash. The 5 piece will be slightly more, but generic silver should be cheaper than body colored. Check with Classic and Morristown, then you'll have some idea of what to offer for a used one.

 

When I called my dealership last week, they told my $750 for a Piano Black dash. It's a special order. I assume that a dash for an '02 will run about the same from a dealer.
