Here's a vinyl decal I asked Mike at Aesthetic Creations to make for me. It's a checkered gas cap lid decal. Matches the mirror caps pretty well, I think.

Not a great pic... taken tonight in our garage. Better one to come soon.

Yes, I was on the MINIUSA.com web configurator today and saw those checkered door handles <<drool>>.

Roof ? I was thinking maybe the glass sunroof panels but not the entire roof. Gotta sleep on that one for a while.

I believe Mike is going to market these decals for the gas cap lid soon. Think I should ask for a cut ?

I've got an 8-ball for the MC gas lid, and MINI made several, a Pirate Flag, and a few others as stickers to goon the MC gas lids. They were in advertisements about a year to a year and a half ago. Lokks cool though

Of courcse I have an MCS so I stay chrome (there at least, much else is slowly turning black)

 

Excellent... 8-ball is a great idea ! So, I guess my concept isn't original after all.

Yep, I'm a chrome-guy and have loads of it in my interior (will have more after Santa visits). Since it's not an option on the MC, thought this was the next best way to go.

Next checkered project... door sill plates.

Mike, thanks again for putting that together for me. I'm going to send the close-up pic to you for use on your website. Hopefully, it will look better than it does on this website (appears as though the paint is rough--actually it's reflections from the Pepper White MINI next to it in the garage).

By the way, I've had several people comment on that decal in person so far.
