Has anyone installed the black inserts on their MCS without the areo kit? I'm thinking seriously about ordering a set and have them on hand when my DS/B 03 MCS arrives. However, I'm not sure it can be done. Thanks!

I have done it on my MC without the aero kit. It can in fact be done, just ask your dealer. It looks great! Makes it look more sporty.

Do a search in the forums. Many people have done this including myself. The top grill is easy. The lower one is a little more tricky. It involves cutting slots in the bumper.

the bumper has to come off to properly install the lower grill
do a search on "areo grills" for install instructions

I'd also like to see a pic. Was the install pretty straight forward or is there some modification that needs to be done? Really like to find out the posible problems that could be involved.

A very helpful MCO memeber sent me this link yesterday. It's a complete how-to in installing an aero kit grill on standard grill Mini.

Here's the link!

There are some cool pics of Mini's with the aero grill on there too.
