Does anyone know where I can buy a Factory Aero Kit for my car that is already painted?

Classic MINI in mentor Ohio has the best prices on OEM Parts, and for a while they had a sale on Cooper (only) aero kits pre-painted for 800 dollars. So they do do pre-painted parts....so i would call them and ask

 

thanks for the tip. I bought an aero kit for my 2002 and its all unpainted, its a hassle to find a place I trust to paint it. I want another one for my 2004 that comes prepainted for i can put it on asap. Thanks again

 

I bought my painted aero skirts from Classic. Be sure to tell them you are a NAM member to get our discount. Great people, very helpful.

 

willing to share how much that cost to order just the skirts painted?

 

Classic gave me prices recently:
Pre-painted side skirts retail $324 / NAM $259 (each)
Primed side skirts retail $245 / NAM $196 (each)
I forgot to ask them about how long it takes for pre-painted skirts. I think someone said they are special order items from Germany and take something like 4 weeks.

 

For the front apron, does anyone know if the plastic trim

Yes, those are the correct prices. Not sure where they come from but mine took 3-4 weeks. Well worth the extra to have them already painted and ready to go as soon as they arrived. Cheaper than having them painted locally also.

does it come painted with the black trim or is it painted completely body colored? reason i ask is im thinking of color coding my fenders and what not and didnt want to spend the extra if i dont need to.

 

By "each" I assume you mean $259 for the left skirt and $259 for the right skirt?

 

doubt it. I bought my aero kit from classic mini it cost me $850 for the front and rear bumper and the side skirts. And that was even pre-painted.

 

Yes, Classic MINI quoted me $259 for ONE pre-painted skirt (list price $324 each). The 2006 MINI accessories catalog lists $245 for a unpainted left skirt and $245 for an unpainted right skirt.

Jtrem, did you purchase your kit during a special offer from Classic MINI? They have run them a few times on NAM. You got a really good deal!

IrishCooper, pre-painted comes with black trim, not completely body colored.

 

yes mine was during the speical. It was a great deal. Hope they run it again. I need a set for my '02 now haha
