M7 Ultimate Grills and Driving Lights

Hello,

I'm just wondering if anyone has installed the M7 Ultimate Grills (upper, middle & front) as well as some driving lights?

If so, any pictures, and/or tips on mounting the lights? I haven't done either of these yet, but from what I can tell, the grill looks like it won't allow use of standard light brackets that would usually mount through the stock grill.

Any advice here would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Alex

You would have to cut slots for the exterior driving lamps or mountthem behind the grill as i did here. Not the optimum location but they do work.

Hmm... Cool, but what about mounting light above the bumper?

Hi Randy,

That's actually a pretty slick setup. I hadn't thought of mounting behind the lower grill. Anyone done anything creative with driving lights mounted above the bumper?

Thanks again!

What lights are you running in your lower grill?

Looks great! What about the grills for the former fogs, now air ducts?
Did you cut those from an Ultimate Grill? How are they attached? The whole look for the front is one of the best I've seen.

The openings for the front fogs look more square; is that a non-OEM bumper? I'd swear they look different on mine...

That M7 frill looks great! The tow hook really punches against it in contrast...

He probably cut them out and made them bigger to work as brake ducts.

First off thanks for the nice comments The grills for the brake ducts were made from some spare material I had laying around the shop. It is not the exact same as the Ultimate material but it was close enough. They are more or less glued into place with some clear silicone . The shape of the former fog light openings was modified with my trusty dremel but it is a stock 02 front clip.

P.S Please excuse the waveness of the upper grills. They were the first hand built prototypes

YES the upper 2 grills do fit the MC. The lower opening is much smaller and we do not have one for that.

Very nice work on the fog openings/brake ducts. Do you just have to remove the stock grill and they open directly onto the brakes, or did you have to do any other modifications to make them into brake ducts?

excuse my ignorance, but what's the connector between the bottom lip and the body there, on either side of the grille? Looks very cool...

Those are turnbuckle assemblies to help support our front splitter.
