Horizontal bonnet stripes

Looking for something different! Has any one run their stripes across the bonnet (wheel to wheel) instead of front to back? I have a DS Mini S and was looking at trying a thin viper like stripe running that way.

If there are any photos of something like that floating around I would love to see them.

Thanks, Gene

Never in my entire life have I seen that. Personally, that doesn't exactly "tickle my fancy, but I could be proved wrong.

The only reason I wouldn't like it is bacuse of the contours of the MINI Bonnet. Its kinda curvey, so It might look a little out of place.

Again, I could be way off.

I've seen it - don't have any pics though. The version I saw was a single horizontal stripe in conjunction with a pair of offset viper-ish stripes.....or was it a single offset stripe and two horizontal stripes? Anyway, they were "shadow" stripes and looked pretty good that way. Don't think I'd do just a horizontal stripe on its own though.

Diagonal might work. Say right headlight to left cowl.

How about some thing like this. I juts spent a minute on this but with some tweeking and more of your imput I could make something great out of it. I'm thinking it should follow the contour of the bonnet at least.

PM me if you want to work something out.

Now you're talking! I like that. My thought is 1 thick and two thin, 1 on each side, and a little farther up the bonnet towards the windshield. I have a DS Mini and I would like just a little darker then the color. How do I go about getting this made?

(relatively new to the site so gorgive my ignorance )

Thank, Gene Sweeney

DragonFlyer the one who made up the picture designs all kinds of stuff like you're talking about. He was showing you what he came up with upon first reading the thread. Just keep in touch with him and he'll work with ya to get what you want and he'll produce it for you too. Good Luck!
