Custom Fog Lamp covers?

They seem prime for some custom ones and I could swear I remember seeing Union Jack ones.. Anyone know of anyone selling custom ones? or at least color MINI lettering for them?

Google is your friend: This was the #1 hit on a search for "Union Jack driving light covers":

http://new.minimania.com/web/Item/NM.../InvDetail.cfm

Nort sure of you're looking for covers for the OEM driving lights or not...

As for the "Mini" ones... I think lots of people just buy the white ones, mask out the "MINI" logo w/ tape and then spray paint them with a paint intended for plastic - that's how I've seen it done at a few Mini meets, at least. Results in a colored cover with a crisp MINI logo in white. Alternately, you could spray the whole thing in one color (or leave them white), then mask everything BUT the MINI logo (using a sharp Exacto knife to trim the masking tape), and spray JUST the lettering. Either/or... Just Google "MINI driving light covers" and you should easily find them at several retailers.

Ah, yeah those are the ones I remember. Not a big Union Jack fan. Im surprised some vendor hasnt jumped on this and came up with peel and stick lettering for them in Cooper colors.

HINT. HINT.

I think the issue would be the curve of the cover... they'd have to make a vinyl peice that had cuts to allow it to wrap the cover w/o bubbling. It would be a pain, I bet.

I do have a question on the basic covers though:

Does anyone know the interior dimension of these covers? I'm not seeing it. Thanks!

Do you mean fog light covers or OEM driving light covers? I don't think anyone makes covers for the fog lights ... how would they attach?

If you mean driving lights, MOSS sells check ones. See my sig.

BTW, both Minimania and Moss covers are NOT real covers. They are just plastic that stick via sticky tape to the OEM MINI covers.

The OEM driving lights are like 3.5" in diameter, right? My Hella's are 4" and I'm looking for covers.

Check my gallery to see original black covers with MINI letters spray-painted red.

Which Hellas. Hella makes different covers meant for most of their lights ranging from the total plastic ones that cover the entire light with the HELLA emblem, to the ones with black grilles that you can keep on and the light still shines through, to clear plastic. I use the clear plastic covers because its too much a pain to take on/off and I want to use them. The grille covers look pretty good and will stop big stones but not little ones. The clear covers stop all stones and you can keep them on forever.

If your looking for custom covers for Hellas, I really don't know of any company that does that.

You should consider the clear Hella covers if you use your lights a lot.

I have the "angel eyes" Optilux lights - exterior diameter = 4". I wouldn't mind having opaque covers for the daytime for when I AutoX or drive around all day, but installing blue-tinted film would be excellent as well - the driving lights ' main lamps, naturally, are quite a bit more "yellow" than my headlamps, and coloring them back down a bit cooler would be nice. Does anyone sell the same film that comes in the headlight Protector Pack in sheets?

This is what I did to mine. A mini camo mod (as it were) using scotchlight letters, like what the police use on their cars so that headlights reflect off of it.
