Viewing Tach

OK, I looked for this subject, maybe I missed it, or maybe there is no easy cure.

I am around 6' and the top of the wheel cuts off the upper 50% view of the tach. I drive by listening to the engine, but being new to the Mini, I look at the tach probably more than I will after driving it for a few more months..

But, is there some way to offset the tach to the side, or raise it? Raising it is probably not a good idea, but I figure most folks must have this same problem.

There's no real way to move the tach but... Make sure your seat is in the lowest position (with the rachet on the left). Also, the wheel can be raised (unlock mechanism under the wheel). If you like your current position, your probably out of luck.

As long as there is enough slack in the harness, it wouldn't be that hard to raise it.

I am 6'3" and I have NO problem seeing the tach. Perhaps you just need to play with the seat adjustment.

There isn't...atleast not in mine. I have had the tach off several times, and there hardly is enough slack to disconnect the harness from the unit.

I'm 5'11, and have the steering wheel in the lowest position, same as the seat, and the steering wheel cuts of the speedometer from about 60MPH to the 120 MPH range...luckily, if I am ever driving in the lower part of that range, it is with cruise control on so it isn't much of a bother for me.
