My first DIY mods

Here are some shots of my '05 S after a few cosmetic mods. Nothing heavy duty, but I'm happy with the look, it really suits me. Of note are the '04 clear tails, clear wheel arch markers, stealth bulbs in the side and front markers, the magnetic stone guards, and tinted glass all-round (that one's not DIY).

Big shout out to 'not-so-rednwhitecooper' for help with the tail light conversion. If you're thinking about it, it's really easy. Just looks daunting at first. Also to 'kenchan', many thanks for the stealth bulb trick. This one's easy and a real money saver. One thing to note, it doesn't seem to work on red bulbs for some reason, just turns them a very pale yellow. I'm using LED's for all my red bulbs and homemade stealth bulbs on all the amber lights.

Clear markers and stealth bulbs made a world of difference for my wife's Cooper. Highly recommended.

And yes, your MINI does look very clean and sharp. Nice job!

Looks very clear, nice.

I, on the other hand, like the red elements on my PS/B MCS and adding even more little red touches to spicy it up =)

It's cool that our MINIs are very "MOD-ABLE" and make it unique from each other.

Thanks all for the comments. I guess I achieved the look I was going for. Cool!
Love the swtches of color, getata. Been thinking of doing something like that maybe in another color. Saw someone around here who did it in blue, including the side 'S' badge. Very sharp.

Now all your missing is the clear 3rd brake light, i have one since i have a white roof i love the way it blends into the roof. I have been trying to find some of those clear or smoke side markers for a while with no luck, where did you find yours?

Yeah, I'd love to get the 3rd brake light replaced too. Those seem hard to find. As for my clear markers, I assume you're refering to the ones on the wheel arches? If so, I just got mine on ebay. Don't remember who exactly, but a quick search should give several sellers. Not too expensive and the quality seems up to par to me. Replacing the wheel arch lenses was, by the way, the most difficult of all the stuff I've done so far.
