Immediate help required regarding aero kit rear bumper cover

I'm installing a complete aerokit for an 06 MCS, installation has been real rough, having to make many "optimizations" to make it fit.

Before I get started just want to make sure that the aero kit didn't change when they went to the 05- MY update.

Ok Rear bumper cover is not fitting properly. The right side, the bumper part of the wheelarch screws in fine, but the left side of the same part does not match the hole where the screw goes in. It seems like the right side of the bumper cover lines up well (by looking at the lines of the hatch and down to the bumper. But the left side there is an obvious discrepancy between the lines from the hatch to the bumper.

Also there are 2 screws on the bottom of the bumper on the left side that doesn't seem to be used, also is the nut that goes next to the exhaust tips not used?

Thanks in advance, I need to get this done tonight!

Can you take any pictures of the problem you are experiencing? I am having some trouble visualizing from all that you wrote.

It's that hole that I can't line up with the hole on the car. The right side lines up fine but this side it seems like there's something either rubbing or stuck, as it will not line up no matter what I do.

Is there anything I should look out for when installing the rear bumper?

Also the rear bumper doesn't seem to be screwed in at the bottom, is that correct?

the bottom parts have these push clip things that have phillips head screw type things in them. You can see them on like the inside of the wheel well.

I am not sure, but you probably are hitting up against something. How does it not line up? like is it too low? too far away from it? you can't push the bumper all the way on?

also are you sure you are lining up to the right hole? cuz there are two holes right next to each other there. one is a white square piece(the one the bumper piece screws into) and one is a whole in the car for that last clip of the arch.

Ok finally done! This metal bracket that attaches to the bottom of the stock bumper was pushing against the bumper. Bent that back, and it fit, barely lol. I swear I never want to do another aerokit again, this is ridiculous.

You'd think oem parts would fit better lol...wow. Whew ok I need to rest now...thanks for the help msfit

sure, I had just swapped my aero kit bumper off and went to the stock bumper. Had no problems but I did forget to take this metal piece off the aero kit bumper and put it on the stock bumper. Did it today. Its in the upper middle of the bumper, little metal piece about a foot long an inch wide right near the top of the bumper where the boot comes down kinda..know what i'm talking about?

Yeah I noticed that it was stuck on the car. But that didn't really help much. Bending that metal bracket made it fit. I think the bumper was warped or something, along with everything else lol

Well I don't know if there were changes made to the aerokit for the 05-06 MY, but it defintely isn't a perfect fit. I had to modify alot of parts to make it fit. It took me 12hrs to install this, by far the most difficult thing I've done. I've taken apart motors and put them back together and install them in a car in less time than this took.

But I think the kit was warped a bit which added immensly to the difficulty. In the end you CAN make it fit, but might take alot of work
