As the title suggests, I need a folding tow hook to finish off the look of my Grillecraft front grille.

I've found some that fit E-36, E-46 BMW's and Honda S2000's. Anyone know if they will work properly or have a source for a definite Mini fit?

THe ones made for BMW's will fit. This one works.

 

90% sure We have the same fit as the BMWs.

 

Its the same, I am using one off a 740 IL on my car.......longer than stock

This may sound silly, but why does MINI require a tow-hook? I know, to get towed... but last time I was towed, they brought a flatbed tow truck and never needed the hook... what is it for, what situation would it be absolutely necessary to have the tow-hook installed on the MINI?

The Mini comes with wheels but you see most people including me spent another grand for new ones Oh what's the meaning of life...

 

If you track your car a tow hook is required.
If you drive in snow it can definately come in useful. There used to be a vid clip here somewhere of some a$$ tearing the rear end off of his car by towing from the wrong location.

 

The tow hook from Ebay does fit, as I have it.

When my 04 was towed, they certainly used the tow hook.

And of course you have to have it for the track as someone stated.

 

All the ones I saw yesterday were sold with no indication of having anymore. Anyone know of another source, like BMW???
