whats up everybody. the other day i installed my gauge. i went with the carbon fiber edition autometer, instead of the procomp ultralites. i like the contrast and since i have the chrome interior trim the polished lip on the gauge. looks a little better.
i like seeing it move...

i thought about it. and i like the way it looks in your car. but i couldnt get used to looking over there. i like it right next to the tach.

 

I love Carbon Fiber Ultralites.

If anyone sold new gauge faces for the MINI, I would go CF face with those guages.

well i got the gauge from a local performance shop. its just your standard 2 5/8 boost gauge (20PSI) and the regular autometer 2 5/8 mounting cup works fine. i would like to get the carbon fiber cup, but it ends up being around $50 with shipping. just take the tach off and there is a screw in the back where you can mount the gauge, you'll just have to buy a longer screw. i just got one 1.5 inches and it worked fine. ill take some pics in an hour or so

looks great - i got some of the 2" gauges for christmas, might swap them for the 2 5/8 - esp if they just bolt right on.

send more pics please - esp of the mounting, etc.

yeah i think the 2 5/8 gauges look better since the stock ones are so large.
anyway the part number for the mounting cup i used is 3204. you cant even see the nylon tubing that runs to the fuel pressure regulator! here are the pics

Nice work. Is that rubber you put between the Tach and mount for the boost gauge? Good way to keep rattles down if it is.

thanks guys. yeah i stuck a piece of tubber between there so it wouldnt scratch the tach aswell has have a little more grip to prevent it moving due to vibration.

 

Thanks for the pics. Is it an electric boost gauge? It doesn't look like you have room for the fitting on a mechanical gauge.
