I used 320 grit sandpaper on the stock covers' raised black lettering, then put on several coats of "plastic friendly" paint (Krylon Fusion)using a very small paintbrush. Pretty easy really. Took maybe an hour doing it carefully with several coats.
K -- might look pretty good on an IB/B combo too

I think this car is begging for some union jack or checkered mirror caps!

I must have a close up, I'll have to look. Thanks
The mirror caps--that's a great idea. But she ain't mine anymore! I recently got a survey call from MINI about work done to her, and they said she's now in Baton Rouge.
Anyone on here have an IB 02 Cooper, bought after August 2005?

vinyl cut would definitly be the better alternative on this application. but if you like the look of paint then, go for it!
on another note i need to get some of those driving lights, they look nice and very fitting on the mini
