Chrome Mesh Rear Cowls(?)

That 2 plastic black mesh ovals on the rear of my MCS above the black trim and below the bumper and on either side of the rear fog lamp... what are those called? Cowls? I'd like to replace these with chrome sort of like what Outmotoring.com is selling on their site (http://outmotoring.com/mini_cooper_c...wl_grills.html) for the cowls in front of the wind shield. Where can I get something like that?

M7 sells mesh rear grilles that are powdercoated either black or silver (not chrome) and a bunch of people (including Moss, IIRC) sell flat stainless steel stamped mesh-like grilles for that space. That may be as close as you can get to anything that matches.

I'm not aware of any chrome ones, but I'm not the best source for chrome information. I'm chromophobic.

I'm actually more interested in replacing the plastic bits with something metal... brushed metal, chrome but not plastic!

Check out these...

You may want to check out these. I discovered these kind of grills by doing a Google search on "Jaguar mesh grill". These grills come in polished stainless steel (which looks like chrome), stainless steel finish, and powdercoated black. I think I may install the polished look on my MCS. They make grills for a bunch of different makes and models. Here's the link...the site takes a while to load:

Yes, I realize that the grills have rubber trim all around their edges. I can live with it, so it's not a distraction to me.

Thats what I want ,but how come I can't find that polished stainless steel woven grill for the rest of the front end grill, just the bottom? I want all three pieces.I have some kind of plastic honeycomb affair now, as the car was bought used ,it was something the previous owner installed.

Here my grill , what brand is it? JCW? I'd like to change the three pieces to polished stainless steel mesh. Does someone have a photo of that type?

It looks like you have the Aero Bumper from MINI. M7 is currently making a lower grill to fit this style of bumber, but it is not on their site yet. I found out about the new grill from another NAM'er.

I haven't come across any mesh similar to the stuff I mentioned in my earlier post for the hood cowls and rear bumper vents.

Hi, I found the about Aero body parts too, thanks. I found this photo on the Cooper Flags web site,
I don't know about the body color grill surround but I think all the grill pieces in that polished mesh would be nice. If I have to, I'll make them myself.
