Silver antenna base???

I have seen antenna bases in chrome, black, carbon fiber, and white – I’m getting a silver roof – but have not been able to find a base in silver. Anyone seen someone selling them?

I've seen all the same ones you have, but no silver.

Since the silver roof just came out, it may be a while before anyone is selling a silver base.

Good luck!

I have an '05 MCS and have been unable to find a chrome base. I even contacted the manufacturer of a lot of MC/MCS chrome add ons--Autotechnica--who advised they weren't going to make the chrome cover for the '05-06MCS antenna. I settled for a billet shorty. If you know where one for the '05 MCS is, please advise. Thanks. Nick

I had not noticed the date restrictions on the covers. What changed and is it different between the MC & MCS?

the post-05 cars have a much larger base.

I think the internals and the way it mounts to the roof are different, also, so you cant swap it out for an earlier one.

Paint the antenna base. Is the silver roof the standard Pure Silver color? If it is you can get a small vial of MINI touch up paint.

From what i understand you take off the cover thing in the int where the alarm module goes, and there are screws you unscrew and take it off. I might be doing this soon, if so ill let you guys know...

I’m going to highjack my own thread, slightly:
Will the same replacement antennas work with the ’06 that are for sale for the earlier models? Do they meet up with the larger base cleanly?

I heard you have to remove the entire roof.
