It def would be. But it's not gonna be that easy for me as we have a non xenon headlamps so I 1st have to make sure I can convert it and make it functional. Then after that disassemble the unit and start playing around. I'll start a separate thread if ever I get the headlights.

I really want to hear what makes the Mini Cooper headlight soo hard to take apart... I have taken apart lots of headlights...

It's not hard to do, once you do it a few times...

Please, let us know as soon as someone has them apart !!!

yes yes....painting over chrome is now "bling"

It's strictly a visual upgrade....but i dont think removing chrome could possibly be about bling

there's the buzzer! Hammer ready!

edit: after trying 180 degrees....I had no success...just bending plastic...I am going to put it back in for ten minutes at 200...I will get it opened!

yeah no prob...LOL...lemme get the camera..she's all done...here's a little something something in the mean time!! yes the outter cover was quite beat....the Mini this light came off had some 95000 miles...

well done dude.....any further infor besides 200 degrees?

What exactly did you have to do? Were there other things?

Finally someone has done it!!!! Thanks very much. So you just upped the temperature to 200 degrees for 10 minutes and that released the glue? Did you melt any of the plastic housing or find any other problems?
