pics of new Front Grill thx to Lagston

OK-

Lagston did an awesome job painting his side markes in a trim black (which of course I will have to copy) so I went out and bought the SEM Trim black paint, available at almost any automotive finishes store. and then I got an idea!

I got an extra front grill from Twister a few months back for some testing purposes and decided I would paint it with the same flat black.

I think it came out pretty good, of course I have an 05' and this is from an older model so what was chrome is the ribbed version vs. the smooth but I will probably paint the original to match.

Here are some pics. Tell me what you guys think.

I realize I haven't done the lower chrome piece yet, but removal is a bear and I won't be doing it until I remove the bumper next weekend to install the m7 AGS.

Let me know!

That looks very cool with your color combinations... and best of all... you probably won't see others exactly like it!

Thanks guys! I will make it permanent tonight and I will also be painting the 05' Chrome trim since it is smooth to match more properly.

I would like to thank all those involved in this process...

Abita- for their Turbo Dog beer that gave me the courage
TWISTER- for selling me his grill
LAGSTON- for showing me the way

SoCar S I am hoping to have it by Friday. I am actually hoping it did not ship on Friday so that I can ask for it 2 day air.

I will be spending all day on Saturday with the install. I have plenty of room so if you want to come and hang out by all means do!

I will be having a blue light special on an Alta intake that day as well!

Chris

Looks sweet! I would consider painting the plastic area behind it, and also the lower bar.

Let me know! you can always give me a ring 843.270.7192 I am praying at this point that the AGS will go out today via 2nd day air. Keep fingers crossed.

Yup- I run a custom A/V company for Home. We do everything from Structured wiring, Automation to full Home Theaters.

Pete,

The plastic was already black so I figured I'd be ok, that and it would have been an even bigger pain to sand that sucker...

Oh and the lower bar will be taken care of this weekend when I remove the bumper. Pulling that thing off while the bumper is one does not seem easy and I am afraid to break it so I will wait.
