I was flipping through my Brochure again last night and noticed the optional wood trim steeringwheel and optional faux wood dash. Does anyone have these options? What trim pieces are affected (doors, etc)? I'm wondering how this will look on my future cooper s, as there is no colour option for the interior unless I go for the leather, which I'm not. Anyone have pictures with an otherwise dark grey interior? Opinions?

I too like the wood look...I think these guys will be introducing a wood kit soon:

Sooner or later, someone will have a kit ready to go - try emailing them.

I've seen pictures of the wood interior option as well, and it looks great. But my dealer said it is not available at this time. Has anyone heard otherwise?

They took it off the options list globally late last year - no more factory wood for now.

And I hear an "Eddie Bauer" Edition may be coming in early 2004.

a company called New Enland Wood Dash, will be making dash kits for the mini starting next month. they told me the cost will range around 125 to 200$. The kits will be real wood unless you specify the fake stuff. their phone# is 1-800-396-3274.
