Interior/Exterior Show off your gauges here! Pics here!
Yup....that's what I'm saying. It controls the air pressure for the four corners to determine the ride height and the 5th pressure that it controls is the pressure in the reserve tank. It's set to kick on the compressor when the tank gets down to 145psi and turn off at 175psi and each corner has it's own two valve setup with a pressure sender attached inline.....so 5 pressures plus the voltmeter just in case.
Cool! I think we need to see a video of your MINI "in action".

Ever since I got my "new" MINI, I've been missing the extra gauges I had installed in Mo', especially the oil temperature gauge. I just don't trust idiot lights because, by the time they blink on, it may already be too late and you have damaged your engine. I've been trying to figure out what to do with Blue because the gauge pod I had won't fit him due to the dual gauges already on the steering column. After a lot of internet searches and questions to Chad at Detroit Tuned, I've decided on the Defi-Link System, using the Defi-Link Display, a digital meter. Here's the company blurb...
Defi-Link Display is a multipurpose monitor which provides information on speed, oil temperature, water temperature, oil pressure, fuel pressure, and exhaust temperature by connecting to the Defi-Link Control Unit II.
So, Phase 1 began today when the Display arrived. After a lot of trial and error, I have positioned it on the dash to the left of the steering wheel. It is very visible there and I can route the wiring thru the side of the dash really easily. Here's a couple of pics.

The control unit will fit nicely just below the toggle panel in the center console area. Here's the info on it.
Defi-Link Control Unit II is a necessary controller to install Defi-Link Meters, Defi-Link Meter BFs, and Defi-Link Displays. Up to 7 gauges and displays can be connected and controlled by one Control Unit II. The name of the connection system is "Defi-Link System."
Defi-Link System allows gauges and displays to be attached to Defi-Link Control Unit II with a single "DAISY CHAIN" wiring system.

One of the things that really sold me on this system is that you can set a warning limit for each of the sensors, and when that limit is reached, the unit emits an audible and visual warning that something is amiss. Idiot proof.

Stay tuned for Phase 2.

. I decided to put it in the bolster under the steering column. The bad news is that the damn thing is about 2 inches thick and has a honeycomb of plastic braces sandwiched in between each side of it. It was a beyotch to cut through without burning the plastic. The good news is that, once I got it all cut and trimmed, it holds the unit perfectly flat without any kind of angle braces. Voila!

Still waiting for the sender units, so it's still just eye candy.
I am running five Prosport premium series gauges and one Autometer DPSS (digital pro shift system shiftlight/digital tach). Everything matches perfectly at night and they black out when off which I like.
Pics of my oil pressure and oil temp gauges, they are Stewart Warner Performance, and I'm pretty satisfied of how they match the OEM gauges both day and night:

On the night one they might seem dark but live it's pretty easy to see them

i've always wanted to make the needle white but i don't know how. >>>>> AUDI looking
love it
So I'm looking at putting two gauges down under the center stack with the stock trim piece kit, I was looking at the jackson racing guages from moss mini, anyone have any imput on these. I was going to go with boost and they have an analog clock gauge that i would think would add some character. Who would i wire these up so they turn their lights on when the stock light up?
My E-Pod gauge with Autometer mechanical boost gauge and infamous narrowband air/fuel ratio gauge (not lit up in the pic.). Will be running a wideband, once I get a header, but in the meantime, narrowband it is.

Just got the OEM gauge overlays installed recently.

cravenspeed and autometer unite!
Thought I would contribute my gauges I installed last week. NAV FTW!!!

Same here bro...those gauge faces look killer especially with the carbon fiber but even without it they would still look sick! Please do tell us where you got them from!! Please

I just ordered a wideband AFR from them for my Jetta. They even have a program on the site that will make custom faces that you can print. Berthil, which controller setup are you running with those?

dude thats a funky idea, and just think thats the only one in the world just like that
