Thanks for starting this thread, Carlos. I want to add Boost and Oil Pressure gauges, but I haven't seen the "perfect" guage face yet.

The AutoMeter looks good, but I'm hoping to find something with lighting like the MINI: white face/black markings with backlighting that allows the gauges to become black/red markings at night.

Has anybody found that combination?

3 extra gauges

Auto Meter Ulta lites
Boost, Water temp, Oil pressure
and a custom hand made alum mounting
If you put on the orange bulb covers it matches great

That is a sweet triangle gauge setup. How did you get the wiring harness hooked up, gauges mounted, etc. I know BMP Promini has the side-by-side gauge package, but the one above the speedo and tach is really cool. Let me know, cuz' you just gave me a great idea.

Autometer ultra lights. Oil pressure and boost. I fabricated the bracket out of metal straping and rivited it to the steering shaft cover.

Edit Whoops i had the mixture gauge and changed it out for the oil pressue. I'l need to take new picks.

Bpago, that looks better than any guage package that I've seen. How about fabricating the mounting and taking early retirement so you can ship them out to all us crazed MINI owners??

I like these gauges

The Defi Black Face digital gauges. They are currently only available in metric values btw.

last time i saw that guy was he was with his buddies... all chatting about the car.. the car's on, and the guy revved it a couple of times

isn't it great that ferrari builds driveway queens?

nparker,

I think I've seen your gauges on NAM before. IMO your "homemade" mount is the cleanest, best-looking setup I've seen. Sweet.

All you need is a 1" x 5" x 3/16" aluminum bar stock; 2 pieces of 1/2" x 1 1/16" aluminum rod. Drill and tap the aluminum rod; weld the rods to each end of the bar stock; finish file; paint and Voila! The home made mount. Use Autometer gauge cups and you're there.

I'm working on 2 more designs that will give more adjustment and additional mounting options.

How does the Alta pod hook up to the tach? I have the chrono package, so my speedo is next to the tach, but i still want guages that look like the Alta set up. Can I cut the Alta pod in half and then hook each side to the speedo and then to the tach on the other side?

I want my setup to look like this, but without the top one in the middle...

minionrails, you win, that is the best set up I have seen so far. All the Ws apply: Who, Where, What did it cost? What are you monitoring there?

Yeah, this is a great setup til that airbag deploys.... then you get smacked in the face with 4 gauges.... honestly, if those hit you when the airbag deployed it would probably kill you.

Wow. Those are some serious eagle eyes you have there. I never would have noticed that!
