Interior/Exterior Show off your gauges here! Pics here!
Lyle (Vinyl Styles) hooked me up phat with CF faces for my NAV R53. I had him do one better & had the faces overlaid with brushed aluminum 'Fracky'. It's one of the favorite things in my interior.
I've already received my shipment from PLX Devices for AIT, a/f & exhaust temp. Dr.Steve (Custom Mini Shop) has me on the calender for install. When they're in, I'll take pictures & post. It should look pretty interesting, ie. PLX + Promini in dual 52mm Cravenspeed gauge pods.

I LIKE DEFI.
I like very simple interior.
I hate flashing light interior and audio.
they make me irritating.

I am planning to remove audio and install this.
This is the best I think.
Right now I am using Omori meter. Omori is good as well but they do not match the illumination color.

No really, I belive they light up when he turns on his key.
You can see the numbers ok during the day, but when it gets really bright I kinda have to squint a bit. When I turn the lights on there's no problem reading the lights. Nitromini's I have the custom/CF 'Fracky' Mini wings front & back. You can check em' out on Lyle's page: http://www.lylesvinylstyles.net/imag...s/IMG_3183.JPG. When are we going to get together so I can "flame up"?
here are my guage faces:these were done by lyle from vinyl styles with a bit of modification from me

and the boost guage mod that dark MCS wrote up(only good pic i have of it was before the dash modding began...looking to get a A-M CF guage to match all

Ever since I got my "new" MINI, I've been missing the extra gauges I had installed in Mo', especially the oil temperature gauge. I just don't trust idiot lights because, by the time they blink on, it may already be too late and you have damaged your engine. I've been trying to figure out what to do with Blue because the gauge pod I had won't fit him due to the dual gauges already on the steering column. After a lot of internet searches and questions to Chad at Detroit Tuned, I've decided on the Defi-Link System, using the Defi-Link Display, a digital meter. Here's the company blurb...
Defi-Link Display is a multipurpose monitor which provides information on speed, oil temperature, water temperature, oil pressure, fuel pressure, and exhaust temperature by connecting to the Defi-Link Control Unit II.
So, Phase 1 began today when the Display arrived. After a lot of trial and error, I have positioned it on the dash to the left of the steering wheel. It is very visible there and I can route the wiring thru the side of the dash really easily. Here's a couple of pics.

The control unit will fit nicely just below the toggle panel in the center console area. Here's the info on it.
Defi-Link Control Unit II is a necessary controller to install Defi-Link Meters, Defi-Link Meter BFs, and Defi-Link Displays. Up to 7 gauges and displays can be connected and controlled by one Control Unit II. The name of the connection system is "Defi-Link System."
Defi-Link System allows gauges and displays to be attached to Defi-Link Control Unit II with a single "DAISY CHAIN" wiring system.

One of the things that really sold me on this system is that you can set a warning limit for each of the sensors, and when that limit is reached, the unit emits an audible and visual warning that something is amiss. Idiot proof.

Stay tuned for Phase 2.

Yup....that's what I'm saying. It controls the air pressure for the four corners to determine the ride height and the 5th pressure that it controls is the pressure in the reserve tank. It's set to kick on the compressor when the tank gets down to 145psi and turn off at 175psi and each corner has it's own two valve setup with a pressure sender attached inline.....so 5 pressures plus the voltmeter just in case.
